After this game the odds are slim, he's going to go around 3 or higher.

I wouldnt be upset if we gave every pick for the next 3 years to trade up and get Young. Use the money we save on drafty picks to get 2 or 3 top olineman and we will be in the superbowl within 2 years.

He just willed his team to win this game. Incredible. He just set a new record for all-purpose yds in the rose bowl.

Does he have to wear a wedding dress? That might be a deal breaker.

Young reminds me of Donavan McNabb alot more than Vick.

Randall Cunningham for me.

And I finally figured out who matt leinart reminds me of, a taller Kenny Stabler.

If Green doesn't win next year, he's gone.

If Green were smart he'd walk into Billy's office and say we're running the table next year in losses. Go 0-16 and get the #1 pick for Young.

Seriously though, the two QB's i've liked since the beginning of the season are Young and Smith from Ohio State.

As for the Vick comparison, it's really not that close. Vick's higest rushing total for one season was 600-something. Young had 850 before tonight. Young is 6'5", Vick 6'1".

Whoever gets him is going to have a helluva player in 3-4 years after he comes out next season.

I remember a guy from Texas who wore a wedding dress for a magazine cover. Led the NFL in rushing then disappeared. Whatever happened to him?

Oh yeah! Rushed for 350 yards on 68 carries in the last three games this season. What a loser. :D

I like the comparison but Young is better than Cunningham and is much more accurate passer. Does run like him though. Long strides with just enough wiggle to get around guys.

Young is a LEADER! His players have absolute confidence in him. He's a one-in-a-million find! He reminds me of Warren Moon: He makes quick decisions, throws quickly, runs quickly.; and like Moon (who also ran a lot) he doesn't get hit solidly. He'd be ready by the second half of the season if need be. Denny will see him as a continuation of his Moon to Cunningham to Culpepper lineage of ACTION quarterbacks!

Draft Vince Young!

Vince Young proved tonight that he has nothing left to accomplish in college. He led his team to the national title and won. He played very well all season, including a huge win against number 4 Ohio state early in the year. Young threw for 3,000+ yards, he had 26TD's and 10 ints. For the season Young's QB passer rating was 163. He resembles Mike Vick only Young is a much better passer then Vick will ever be, because Young seems alot more smarter and he keeps calm and cool in the pocket.

These exceptional numbers are nothing compared to what he can do with his legs. Young became the first quarterback in NCAA history to reach 1,000 yards rushing and 2,500 yards passing in the same season, he also had 12tds on the ground. Young is also alot bigger then Vick(6-0,215). Young is 6-5 and weighs 233. Hes able to shed tacklers much easier and is much taller then vick who struggles throwing over the line.

Yes Vince Young didnt win the Heisman, but why would he risk going back and getting hurt, or dropping in next years draft due to a poor year.

The Cardinals must do everything they possibly can to draft Vince Young. Not only is he an incredible QB, But Young will be bringing alot of attention to the team that drafts him, Much like Mike Vike who brings in alot of money for the Falcons. No other prospect in the draft could bring that much recognition to your team, excpet maybe Reggie Bush who will still be the number 1 pick. Having a brand new stadium and a franchise QB would be perfect for the cardinals.

I believe the cardinals are only a few very good players away from being a competitive playoff team. A QB and a revamped offensive line are the 2 areas of greatest concern for the cardinals. With 30 million dollars to spend(2nd most in the NFL behind the Browns who are under 31 million) the cardinals should easily be able to fill the holes on the line. Steve Hutchinson seatles probowl guard, is probably the best offensive lineman in free agency(Seatle's Shuan Alexander is also a free agent). The line can be improved even more by a great offensive line coach, which the cardinals have lacked for a long time.

With all that being said the Cardinals have to hope Vince Young declares, He will make the offense so explosive with Boldin and Fitzgerald, and maybe even a long awaited offensive line!

"..And in this corner.."

And here's where I go Schizo on the Cards.. Whereas I would take VYoung if I had the #1 pick generally speaking, if the Cards could legitimately count on getting a HEALTHY Daunte Culpepper from the V:thumbup: ykes, DO IT!!!
Always choose healthy experience over inexperience to shore up your team!!
To Russ, Ed, etal I wonder who all will jump on the Vince Young Bandwagon now, and if he competes somewhat at the Combine.. He probably won't throw or run the 40, but just do strength benching, and standing high jump.. Wasn't it Carnell Williams that worked out all the way to everyone's surprise and won alot of praise for it?? Vince Young might have that type of strong character, I don't know.:notworthy :notworthy

The Cardinals have NO shot at Vince Young. He will go before Leinart & even possibly go #1. He is a native of Houston, TX, so don't be surprised if the Texans pick him. Our best shot is to make a play for David Carr.

The cards need to bring the fans back, after years of failure.. He has passed and run when needed. Yes he may sit a year behind Warner but he could save Denny's ass the following year. Fill the holes with some quality FA'S.

Dennys ass wont be around to get saved the following year if he doesnt win 9 games next year:thumbup:

If the Texans don't draft Qb Vince Young, he certainly wouldn't get by other NFL teams such as the Titans. So the Cards would have to do a lot of negotiating to get Young.

But unless the Cards management is thinking like the Falcons did when they drafted Qb Vick--putting asses in seats and increasing their bottom line, they will most likely draft some other positional player even if Vince Young magically falls in their laps. :koolaid:

Lets see........a new Stadium, Boldin, Fritz, Rackers, Qb Vince Young, Berry, Dansby, and Dockett in Arizona at the begining of the 2006 season?  Na.......to good. But ya never know!!

Don't be suprized if right now Jerry Jones is scheming some kind of way to corral Vince (put Texas fanny's in the seats) Young. Denny has to do the same: Be very inventive and daring. Consider also the side benefits. Remember when Reggie White as a free agent decided to sign with the Packers because they had this new young quarterback that Reggie imagined might just get him to the Superbowl. Young fellas name was Brett Favre. Having VY signed would help attract some free-agents this way for the same reason.

Pretty accurate isn't good enough in the NFL.

Josh is pretty accurate. Warner is extremely accurate when he's on.

He's a wonderful talent but I just dont' think he would fit this team well, there are too many playmakers that need to get the ball, he's also going to get hurt running in the NFL.

Guys like him take a couple of years to figure out why you stay in the pocket then slide when you have a chance unless it's desperate. They will lay him out.

He might get away with it for games and then out of the blue he's going to get lit up.

66% completion percentage isnt good enough for you? sheesh....

Just think. If we got Young, we wouldn't have to draft another running back. He could play both positions.

Think of the money the Cards could save.:D

Good thing we won't have a chance to get him. So drool over him all you want.

The top 3 will be Leinart, Bush and Young.
