I took this photo recently when this fabulous bird appeared in my front yard, I told everyone that I think It's a good luck sign for the new year, he picked the right yard!!

And my friend that lives in Il. says there are no cardinal birds in AZ. HA!!!

We have them all over my yard in Jersey.

I can have 15 of them around my bird feeder at a time.

My cat LOVES it.

This is this first Cardinal I have seen in my entire life, I couldn't believe that I was looking out of my window at just that time and he stayed put until I could grab my camera and run outside--amazing day!!

Jane, maybe he saw the Big Cardinal in your swimming pool and came to challenge him?

Do you still have that image available? Coolest Cardinals fan thing I've ever seen. Lots of ASFN members have never seen that.

Omen? Maybe...

I live in Scottsdale as well, last year as I started walking out my door to go to the first preseason game a cardinal flew into my backyard. Bizarre. I thought it meant something special was going to happen for us...wait we didn't have a losing season so I guess it was an omen.

What's funny is I see cardinals (the birds) almost every time I go up to Greasewood Flat (north Scottsdale) weird what a little elevation change will do.
