Shipp looked great. Some of his best runs were negated by stupid/bs penalties.

Shipp definitely earned the start next week. Still a lot of runs for no gain or a loss but 3 runs of 16, 14 and 10 and a nice screen pass too. Arrington should be healthy (I hope) and we can use him to spell Shipp, but off of today Shipp should start until JJ proves otherwise.

Warner moved the ball, Boldin and Fitz are special, Step is back although clearly playing handicapped, the D did fairly well. I think we'll win next week but I thought for sure we'd win today so what do I know?

When you look at this objectively, it is what it is.

A team still comming together.

Yeah they had all training camp to do that but having all your centers go down puts a big kink in that kind of line building continuity you need.

I thought that Warner other than bone headed moves did well passing the ball.

Shipp is the better back right now, I've said that from the get go.

I still see us losing the next game, Seattle is going to kill us there.

If they get up by 10 or 14 early, it could get ugly.

Denny (I can't believe I'm typing this) might have four years if we lose this year but play competitive.

An ugly blow out next week would make him winning in year three a necessity for him to keep his job past 2006.

Positive: We are not Vikings fans.
Actually there are teams who seem far worse off than us. I watched that Lion's game in it's entirety and even though they are 1-1 they looked awful in every phase of the game.

Probably the biggest positive is that I am really seing a huge shift in the ratio of Cards fans to opposing team fans.

I've been conditioned to about 50-50 or 60-40, but the fans were at least 80% Cards if not 90%.

Also, the new jerseys are awesome. I need to go get one this week - there were a ton of folks sporting the new gear.

Things can change very quickly in the NFL (e.g Buffalo and Carolina last year).

Wins against Seattle and SF could change things quite dramitically. Those games aren't givens by any means. But I think we have decent shots at both IMO.
