Shane H is the best drummer in rock history.
The problem is, he just beats the same drum all the time

Maybe he didn't have any other better options at kicker?
Maybe ownership said we already paid this guy so make due with him?
Impossible to tell.

Refute it. Other wise take your drum and go home. Facts are facts my friend. There's a reason they were stating Whiz was more peaved than they have ever seen him following that game.
No he is correct. Neil Pert is an awesome drummer. Probably the best. Maybe he is implying you are the best as well?
Side not but one that keeps occurring to me in all this. I realize the QB is the key guy on offense and if your team has no faith in the QB you HAVE to bench him.
But how come Whiz waited so long to replace Neil Rackers? It was evident that the team had lost faith in Rackers a couple of years ago, that debacle with the Bears game and other critical misses that year he lost the team IMHO. You could see a relief on the faces when he actually made a kick, and you could see anger when he missed, guys were wondering how many big kicks does he have to miss before we replace him?
Just seems like a weird contrast to me, kickers live and die on the ability to make big kicks, Rackers wasn't Whiz's guy, he didn't bring him in, so why did he wait so long to replace him?
WR's lining up in the wrong spot is more the WR's fault than the QB's. Yes the QB should be the field general out there, but heaven forbid that Leinart calls a timeout because of it.
Furthermore, did Whisenhunt not see 'bullets' flying in Tennessee, or preseason the past few years to make a decision? It's not like Anderson signing this year as a free agent.

He would be flamed for wasting a timeout. He would have been blasted for a delay of game penalty too. (Warner's schtick) Given the alternatives, he arguably made the best decision.

That's just it. Maybe after the game Whiz asked him why did you run this play in this alignment? why didn't you move the WR to the proper spot when you had 20 seconds to snap the ball? Why didn't you call a time out as a last resort rather than run a play doomed from the start?? Did you even recognize that your WR lined up on the wrong side?
Maybe just maybe Matt stated that he didn't recognize it? Maybe Matt said something like I felt it wasn't my job to do that its on the WR.. etc.. etc.. We don't know and will maybe never know. But based off what Whiz says In inclined to believe those are the type of answers Matt probably gives. Which IMO would be unacceptable. Not indicative of a leader.
How so? He probably thought he knew Matt had a complete control of the offense. then game 1 and 2 he goes out there and has WR's lining up wrong and doesn't do anything about it. Doesn't sound like someone in complete control of an O does it?
Some things you just can't find out till the bullets start flying.

That actually dead wrong. The QB is the coach on the field. It is completly his responsibility to make sure everyone is lined up correctly, everyone knows the correct snap count, everyone knows possible audibles, and he is also responsible for knowing, and at times changing, the line calls.
Of course each individual player has his own responsibilities, but the QB has to know the offense and each person role/assignment in it for each play. Thats why they get the glory, and thats why they are crucified.
I only saw one play where the WR was clearly lined up wrong and DA was the quarterback. It was the second quarter of the Texans game and Andre Roberts was lined up in the slot. DA tried to motion him over and Roberts didn't see the signal. DA motioned again and Roberts didn't get it.
The play was a run to the opposite side of the field from Roberts and picked up 4-5 yards. I assumed that this is what Whis was talking about when he said that guys were lining up in the wrong slot.
Why has Whis waited to long to replace Alan Faneca? Why hasn't Levi Brown faced any competition at all? Why doesn't the offensive line get criticized when they're obviously standing around in the middle of running plays (it happens all the time, especially with Levi Brown)?
The statement about everyone's in competition is all well and good, but it doesn't hold up to very close scrutiny.
Although they also get unjustly criticized when a WR makes the wrong read on an option pass. NFL offenses are impossibly complicated.
I just don't get how DA's chemistry can trump the fact that he flat out stinks as an NFL QB.

I think Whis is using ambiguous terms like chemistry and intangibles to justify a decision that was made long ago but doesn't reflect what we watched. Seriously, have you ever heard anyone praise Anderson for his intangibles? If anything, I've heard about his incredible physical skill and questionable intelligence.
Go back and look through the Quinn/Anderson debates from last year. They are eerily similar to what's going on here, except that Anderson is the one who lacks the intangibles and chemistry. It's just another way of saying the guy has run his course and we want a change, even if the second option isn't any better.
