How can you not be proud or like this team?

I go by what I see. This team was 8-8 in the NFC’ west where the worst team had 6 wins. And they played most the year with backups at key positions.

Now, last year was the most disappointing team I have seen. They had the talent to win it all but bad special teams and stupid mistakes made it about the most under-achieving team ever.
Some people are just miserable and like to be.

You’re missing my point. I wasn’t being specific about 8-8. Whether we’re 7-9, 9-7, 8-7-1, 7-8-1, 6-10, even 5-11. Those records are not bad enough to get us high enough in the draft to overcome how pathetic we have been in the area of the draft. Even in some 5-11 & 6-10 seasons, we would finish out with wins, sometimes consecutive wins. Until we start showing some ability to draft, we almost have to be in the top 3 to grab a stud.
In all the losing seasons we only had consecutive wins in the final four games 2x, 1993 won the last three, Bugel tring to save his job, and in 2001 we won in weeks 15+16,in between losses in 13-14 and 17. In the final four weeks of losing seasons we won 0 games 6x, 1 game 8x, 2 games 4x, and 3 games once. Most years the late wins didn't impact the draft at all.

88 7-9 finished 0-5
89 5-11 / 0-6
90 5-11 / 1-3, if we would lost that game we would have drafted @ #3, but got Swann at #6, who was better then 3-5.
91 4-12 / 0-8
92 4-2 / 1-3 (1-7 in the last 8) no impact on the draft
93 7-9 / 3-1 This was Bugel trying to save his job
95 4-12 / 0-4 (1-7)
96 7-9 / 1-3, Tobin's first year. That win kept us from possibly James Farrior. Ike Hillard or Walter Jones (not sure of the tie breakers)
97 4-12 / 1-3. Not sure if we would have had the #1 which was Manning if we lost to ATL week 17.
99 6-10 / 0-4
00 3-13 / 0-4 (1-7)
01 7-9 / 2-2 Mac's first full year as HC, anything would have been better then Wendell Bryant, so those wins hurt
02 5-11 / 1-4, win was week 14 part of a 1-9 finish
03 4-12 / 1-4 (1-7) Fitz was the pick regardless
04 6-10 / 2-2, Green's first yr, we got Rolle. Without those wins we would have had drafted #2 and had access to Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, Braylon Edwards, Caddy Williams, Pacman Jones, or Roy Williams

05 5-11 / 1-3. Would have drafted two spots higher, probably still would've went Leinart
06 5-11 / 2-2. Would've been #2 or 3, which could've been Joe Thomas or Calvin Johnson.
10 5-11 / 2-2. Von Miller instead of PP, debatable if the wins hurt us.
12 5-11 / 1-3 (1-11). That win prevented us from having the opportunity to draft Lane Johnson or Ziggy Ansah

This may not be a popular opinion but I think BA did a masterful job going 8-8 while losing DJ (#1 or 2) in most fantasy drafts, CP missing over half the season, having 25 new guys on the roster at the end etc... Oh yeah, he kept Amos as ST coach and still went 8-8. I think we are going to miss Bruce more than he will miss us.

Some people are just miserable and like to be.

Crazy to think some people are upset having watched 32 games straight where the team was NEVER over .500... ONCE.

This year’s problems you could see coming from a mile away. Depending on players who are perpetually injured, aging and ignoring ST coaches was a recipe for exactly what we saw last season and that’s exactly how we looked before Palmer went down. Exactly like last season.

Sorry that doesn’t give some of us warm fuzzies.

Winning their last game cost us the opportunity to draft BOTH Manning brothers. We had the #1 pick going into the last week in both instances. Now you may say that Fitz was our pick all along, but we really don’t know that. As much as I love Fitz & we all love Fitz, he hasn’t won any SB’s. Eli, with some warts has won 2. Even if Eli did to us what he did to SD, then we end up with Rivers. Either way, we get our our franchise QB. Losing Peyton was far more painful. God only knows what may have happened with him behind center. He went to a pathetic Colts team that then was a championship caliber team (with a very average defense) for almost 2 decades. The year we lost Peyton, we rallied from being down 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter. And we all remember how we lost Eli. Those 2 outcomes will haunt me to the day I die.

the idea that this 8-8 team was a better coaching job than the 11-5 2014 team that has just as many injuries, a much tougher schedule and didn't need two meaningless wins at the end of the season to square it's record seems like a seriously bad case of amnesia.

Can you list the just as many injuries? Btw, all games count. You can't pick & choose which games count & which ones don't. They play 16 games in the regular season.

If you prefer your team to lose you probably shouldn't be following the Cardinals. The Browns maybe? You play to win. Always.

He didn’t have his best season, but I’m glad Tyrann was able to play a full season for the 1st time. I know that was a big accomplishment for him.

Why don’t you follow the rules of the site and stop bashing other fans/telling them to switch teams because they aren’t whistling zippity doo-dah out of the buttholes over a 8-8 completely wasted season like you are?

To go 8-8 with this depleted roster is an amazing achievement. Thus team got the most out of its talent and that’s all you can ask.

Best coaching job by Arians, or any cards coach, ever.

Look st the starting OL today:
Holden, Boone, Shipley, watford, and wetzel.

They go into Seattle and pretty much control the game with drew stanton under center.

MAJOR PROPS to the team and staff(except Amos)

I pretty much agree with you. This team was destined to be a 4-12 team and should have been with the talent they have. (lost) To go 8-8 is damn impressive.

Chandler Jones was a monster this year, just an absolute monster. I hope he gets some consideration for DPY. He should not win it, but still, he had a hell of a year. Favorite thing to watch were his lion tackles in the in run game for losses.

Why not? He was just as dominant as any other defensive player this year.

I wasn't whistling anything. I'm talking about wanting to lose. On purpose. That isn't why you watch the game. Unless you prefer to root for the team to lose. I wasn't bashing anyone or telling anyone what to do. Reread my post.

It may have been a completely wasted season for you but I was entertained. That's the whole purpose of sports anyway, for entertainment. It may not have ended the way I would have liked but entertained none the less. Something that seems to be lost on you. You can keep being a miserable sob but I will choose not to. It's only a game after all.
