It's huge that Seattle lost yesterday! Even better for us in the NFCW powerhouse.

Until the Cardinals beat them, the 49er's are the best team in the NFC West.

Agreed! To be the best you hafta beat the best. They are the defending NFC West champions.

They have three home games against Buffalo, the Giants and Seattle before we host them in the critical Monday nighter October 29th. Unfortunately, they'll have a full 11 days to prepare for us as the Seattle game is a Thursday night contest.

I agree with CardLogic-----San Fran is the defending champ, and until we beat them, they are the team we need to go through to win the division. Last year was last year. We beat them, and they beat us, but they were the champs, because they won more games.

That week 8 game is going to be a blood bath. I have never been so pumped for a Regular season game than that week 8 showdown on MNF

I don't consider Seattle a threat as long as they play Wilson. They'll win a fair share of games but doubt they'll contend for the division. The Rams are about 2 years away and may be longer than that if Bradford doesn't improve.

It's looking like a 2 horse race. SF may pull in front because they have 5 of their next 6 at home but then go on the road for 4 of 5. But you never know, Minny showed what happens when you can get in front of SF and teams will try and copy that. That's probably easier said than done but that's the formula to beat them. Smith has yet to throw for over 226 yards in a game this year.

Agreed. This is why I wasn't worried when they were handed the win by the refs. They have Wison at QB and they have a buffoon coach on the sideline

The Rams are going to be a bitch to beat in St. Louis this year. That's the bad news for us this week. Thursday is going to be tough, and it would not be a shock if we lost.

This is ONE year when beating the Rams in St.Louis will be a measuring stick. They've really only played one 'bad' game and by rights should be 3-1 right now if their defense could have stopped the Lions late.

If the Rams put Finnegan on Larry one-on-one, it will be a very interesting matchup.

I am still convinced that was the football Gods making things right after MNF, at least for the NFCW teams that got screwed by the replacements.

I still beleive 49ers will fall to NYG, NE and Falcons that makes 4 losses
MNF will be huge one, if we win 49ers with 5 losses

our big games are 2 games vs Rams and away at Seatle
win vs Bills & Lions can give us 10 wins

playoffs will be decided in divisional games

I really wish we had a couple of 325+ D-linemen on our roster when we go up against SF and their runmgame.

Yeah, we can't stop Gore and we can't run the ball ourselves. I'm looking forward to this game but I can't forget the beating they gave us last year. Even our late season win against them did nothing to wipe that game from my memory.
