A very solid movie that was well acted and had a good story line. Not to many people are into westerns anymore, but I for one was excited to see this!

I wasnt dissapointed! The movie was well worth the price of admission. Kevin Costner has had a few duds recently but he is very good in this. What can I say about Robert Duvall other than a great acting performance! Not as if that should surprise anyone!

The gun fight scenes in the movie were extremely well done!

You will like it Im sure as long as you are into westerns! The scenery and camera work in this movie are absolutely gorgeous!

Great film! Saw it last night, and it definitely is a throwback to the old Westerns. I could see this being made back in the 50s with Clint or John Wayne in the Costner role.

It was cliched, but I think that was the point. And what made it as enjoyable as it was.

Agreed! The beginning was waaaay to slow and took too long to build to any kind of tension, but I was not to be disappointed! A great effort!

I was also scared because Costner seems to be the kind of actor that either gives a standing ovation-type performance or completely flops. This one was the former.

Yeah, they probably could have cut a little out--but then again, I think he did the right thing in taking some time to introduce the characters--it made what eventually happened all the more desperate. I liked the way that it wasn't all action.
