Madison Bumgarner makes another opening day start Friday, this time with #Dbacks. "We are expecting exactly what we thought going into the season. We're going to rely on him a lot this year. We're not going to be able to get where we want to go without him this year."
The question now is this: Will he ever record a win in a D-Backs uniform?
Where was our Scouting Department?Yes but he is either hurt or fell off the cliff velocity wise so I fear those subs we all elected may not materialize anywhere close to expectations

Why not Duplantier?
Probably because Duplantier failed in his earlier chances.Interesting choice and you almost wonder why Hazen didn't go that route. Duplantier hurt or ineffective in the scrimmages? Very odd.
I hope he gets some hitting support -- throughout the game.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

But 2) does say that a club does not have to use a designated hitter for the game, which seems to say that the Pitcher hits (all game). With pinch-hitters, of course.
Except that Torey treats the DH position as a revolving spot for about seven hitters.MadBum for DH, then...
