Same here. I loved Dune. Part 2 and Oppenheimer are the two I've been waiting all year to see. I can't wait to see what he does with the rest of the story in P2. He's also working on Rendezvous with Rama which excites me. I liked the book and Clarke is one of my favorite authors.

I think I'm going to go put Dune on now. The Voice is killer on my system and the edible is kicking in. ;)
Will he finally introduce Paul's direct protagonist in the second movie? lol

I looked it up last night on the Harkins website, AZ Mills is the only one listed with the 70 MM format.

Tempe Market Place has 70mm showings listed but smaller screens.

I know the true screen size is supposed to be 6 stories. I have been to AZ Mills, but never to an IMAX movie there. I was wondering if they do have a true 60 foot high screen?

Yay! I was just trying to logic it in my head since they are a single story mall, I was over thinking how they could have a 60 foot screen. We are supposed to have the biggest Harkens ever built here in Laveen, but IDK the specs. I haven't seen if it will be Imax or not. The pandemic slowed commercial development a lot here.

It's a single story mall but remember that with how tall the ceilings are that it's about 2 stories in hight. Then over at the theater end the building art taller, probably about 3 stories. Then the IMAX theaters are usually, at least partially, underground.

Here's an article that lists the 70mm "true" IMAX theaters that will be showing it. I didn't realize there were so few. It sucks that some of the theaters that used to have the 70mm projectors have now switched them out.

My son is trying to get me to go see this in a couple hours. Exhausting day at work and have a 6AM international conference call in the morning. I really want to see this. Who needs sleep right?

Earliest show I could get at Chinese Theater IMAX was 9-freaking-55 pm on Tuesday.

I ain’t happy about the wait OR late start!

At least it is only 180 minutes long, not counting trailers, etc.

It'll be interesting to hear if the downwinders or the people whose land was basically stolen from them to create the Manhattan Project is covered in the film.

Spoiler for cursing.

Damn, lots of imaxs here but no 70mm. I’m disappointed in you Mall of America.
