Anyone else believe the suns scored 41 points in the first quarter? I mean that sums it up pretty much.

Now if they could just get some points in the second quarter.

Let's put that first qtr in a time capsule and pull it out when we have a bad night.

Let's not play the role of Boston in this game.

Looks like possibly the old Shawn might be back.

18 pts 10 boards and the first half isn't even over!

Unfortunately they are following a great first quarter with a real bad second quarter. Their defense this quarter has been awful, and a lot of it has to do with this stupid idea of double teaming everyone.

The jump shot is the kiss of death for the Suns. For the life of me, I never understand why when they get a lead, they stand around the outside doing the one shot & out routine.

Joe Johnson is hopeless. Find out if anyone wants him and dump him now. I'd rather see Jacobsen get his minutes. I guess they need to keep him around for a month or so while he's the backup PF :bang: , but other than that, I just don't see any reason to keep him around.

I'm that frustrated with Joe Johnson as well. If he has any trade value whatsoever the Phoenix Suns should see what they can get for him. For two years now we've complained that he is inconsistent on offense, but I don't think that's right. He is consistent. He is a consistently poor shooter. I'm tired of it.

Tom Gugliotta should have been in that lineup when the Suns were struggling so badly against the zone in the third quarter.

Marion deserves alot of credit. His rebounding has been huge in Amare's absense.

Good to see Marbury attacking in this 4th. Just hope we don't start jacking up 3's.

Great D by Casey. He's showing he can play while JJ is stinking it up again. I agree, we should tangle JJ and see what offers we get.

Lets go SUNS! Pull it out.

Having Joe Johnson in the game right now is a huge mistake. Tom Gugliotta should be in the game. He usually does a good job of getting in the middle against the zone defense.

You would think this team had never seen a zone defense the way they are playing right now. There is absolutely no movement.

Wow. I mean how could you have double doubles by Shawn Marion and Stephon Marbury, a near-double double by Penny Hardaway, and lose to the worst team in 5 years?

This is the team that nearly beat the eventual-champion San Antonio Spurs last year in the playoffs!

I'm wondering that same thing myself. This is rather unpleasant.

As much as the Suns have struggled scoring against the zone in the second half their defense has probably been a bigger problem. In particular their perimeter defense has been awful. I know they've scored a lot of points in the paint, but that's a direct result of the perimeter defense breakdown. I think they are far too aggressive on the perimeter, and it allows the offensive players to penetrate far too easily. Marbury, Marion, JJ, and Hardaway have all been guilty of that.

I think the biggest problem is that the team is a freaking heartless joke, with below-average talent, that has no clue what it's doing. Other than that, they're okay.

It is like groundhog day, the same BS every game.

Let's stand around on the perimeter and jack up threes.

Don't forget the Suns got outshot at the ft line 32-11. This seemed to happen after they were up by 22.

Suns had 20 fouls called against them to 12 for the Magic.
