I agree it doesn't look like it was much now, however at the time it was widely considered to be a high price to pay for Johnson and what turned out to be Casey.
The trade basically prevented the Suns from making a late season run to get into the playoffs. I think everyone here will agree it was a good trade, even with how JJ is playing. However, from a general public view if they saw us give away a former 6th man and a backup guard for a kid, I don't think it would be well recieved if they ship him off 2 years later for nothing.
