Ortiz placed on 15 day DL

Ortiz was placed on the 15 day DL this morning and Casey Daigle was called up. I would much rather have seen someone else get a shot but at least Ortiz is off the roster for the moment. I wonder what Byrnes' plans are with Ortiz?????

Several of us wondered if he was going to suddenly go on the DL after the demotion. Pretty handy timing, huh? I don't really care as long as he isn't around to stink up the place. He needs to spend alot of time in Tucson getting his head/mechanics/attitude adjusted. Just hope he still has some salvage value left...
