(WFRV) – Oshkosh North senior Xzavion Mitchell was named Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association’s Mr. Basketball on Friday, the first time a Spartan has won the honor.
Mitchell, an Iowa State commit, was a four-time First Team All-State player, a two-time Fox Valley Association Player of the Year, and led the Spartans to a WIAA Division I state semifinal.
The 6-7 senior averaged 35 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game, plus 2.3 steals and 2.1 assists.
