So they run the ball to the right, flip the ball back on the reverse & then it gets flipped back to the QB & he throws the ball to the wide open original runner for a 35+ yd TD.

A play like that gets blown up 95% of the time in the NFL because it takes too long to set up, but I thought it was pretty innovative.

ASU with 30 points with 5 minutes left in the first half. Fun game.

Yeah, not much defense being played... ASU 30, Texas Tech 27 with 3 minutes left in the 1st half.

Edit: Make that 37-27 with 2:17 to play in the 1st half.

Edit: Make that ASU 37 - TT 34 with 53 seconds left in the 1st half.

This belongs in Post boring comments thread... But I watched the Lobo/NM State Aggie game. You would not like the QB play. Trust me.

He looked like chit in the 2nd half though. Credit to ASU defense.

I'd still take him, kid has talent.

ASU has one of the worst pass defenses in the NCAA. They were leaving their CBs on an island a lot or blitzing their CBs or Safeties & leaving guys wide open. Even when they dropped 8 into coverage (rushing 3), they still couldn't defend Texas Tech's receivers... they would leave guys wide open underneath with no one within 5-10 yards.

This isn't a good game to judge Mahomes ability... wait until he plays a better defense.

Yea, it was pretty bad. Every play there was someone open. It was bad.

At least you got to watch local fave, ASU.

Here in NJ, we got Rutgers.

They played perennial college powerhouse: Howard.

Inept play (blocking, tackling, ball protection, play execution, kick coverage) remiscent of my old Pee Wee team (Go Rockets!) put the Scarlett Knights in a 14 - 0 early hole. Fortunately, they got their act together and emerged with a 53 - 14 win.

Go figure.

Wilkens is a mobile QB, but he hasn't shown the ability to throw middle or deep routes with any accuracy. Pretty much everything is thrown within 10-15 yeards with lots of WR screens.

Wilkens needs to stop hurdling defenders... he's already done it 3 times in 2 games. The next time he tries it, he's gonna get flipped on his head.
