Was having this discussion in another forum to list the best QB's of all time from each team and it's not as easy as it looks. Here were my selections:

Cards-Jim Hart
Falcons-Matt Ryan
Ravens-Joe Flacco
Bills-Jim Kelly
Panthers-Jake Delhomme
Bears-Really tough call here but I said Sid Luckman
Bengals-Ken Anderson
Browns-Otto Graham
Cowboys-Roger Staubach
Broncos-John Elway
Lions-Matthew Stafford
Packers-Brett Favre
Texans-Matt Schaub
Colts-Payton Manning
Jags-Mark Brunnell
Chiefs-Len Dawson
Rams-Kurt Warner
Chargers-Dan Fouts
Dolphins-Dan Marino
Vikings-Fran Tarkenton
Patriots-Tony Eason...Just kidding...Tom Brady
Saints-Drew Brees
Giants-Eli Manning
Jets-Joe Namath
Raiders-Ken Stabler
Eagles-Donovan McNabb
Stealers-Ben Roethlisberger
49ers-Joe Montana
Seahawks-Russell Wilson
Buccaneers-Doug Williams
Titans/Oilers-Warren Moon
Deadskins-Joe Theisman

So, do you agree? Disagree? Who would you change? Some were tough calls like the Bears who have never been known for their QB's.

Bradshaw has more rings than raplisberger... plus, Bradshaw is already in Canton... Ben?? Probably at some point.

IMO.... Randall "Crazy Legs" Cunningham was better than Donovan McNabb for the iggles... the teams McNabb was on saw more success but Cunningham was a better QB and lead the iggles for over 10 years.

and while the snake was great... Plunkett was a better QB for the Raiders

also,...IMO Phil Simms was much better than Eli... Simms was a great QB with fantastic leadership while Eli is basically a top notch game manager.

Jake Delhomme had some decent seasons but IMO,... Cam is superior and end career stats will show that... Cam already has 5000 more passing yards than Jake had in his entire career.

I agree with you an Favre at this point... lets check back in six years or so, lol... ARod is giving him a serious run for that title.

No Johnny Unitas or Bart Starr?
I keep glancing at your list and I don’t see any Dallas QB mentioned in your list.

Danny White would be the sentimental pick from az peeps but you really kinda have to go with Troy Aikman dont ya?

I noticed you didn't pick a QB for the team that plays in Tarrant Co., TX. Some might say Luckman was the only QB the Bears ever had. :)

Put Bart Starr in for Favre, and Slingin' Sammy Baugh for Pencil-leg Joe. Joe didn't win those SBs--John Riggins and Art Monk did. Probably insert Bobby Layne for Stafford...for now.

Those Cards teams from the 70s could have been epic with Jim, Mel Grey, Terry Metcalf and Air Coryell. But as usual...a Bidwill got in the way. I have a long story about why Billy Bowtie became such a skinflint; but for another day.

In a van...down by the river.
I watched both play and i still say that Steve Young was every bit as good as Montana....and he was easily the most underrated dual threat QB that rarely gets mentioned with all the other dual threat guys who couldn't hold a candle to Young's passing ability.

I hated both because they wrecked my Rams teams year after year but it is what it is.

Look at Young's passing and rushing numbers and find me a better dual threat guy.

Roger 'the dodger' Staubach was better than Aikman in my opinion
Staubach was good... not many players get to play in five SB's.... But Aikmans team was great at the same time the Niners were great and he still has more rings than Staubach... they both had short careers really, Aikman had more wins but Staubach was more consistent....

Maybe its because I was young, but I've never felt as confident pre-game in any Cards QB doing well since Jim Hart was under center. Jake was a gunslinger, and there were times when 'Bad Kurt' would make an appearance out of nowhere.

Bart Starr was an early great, but he's not the same species as Aaron Rodgers or Favre, to those who would make the switch. I like Rodgers better in terms of skill, Favre has a lot of records simply because of his extraordinary durability. And the same for Johnny Unitas. Stood out at the time, but Peyton is the best of all time.

Unpopular take--I'd take Philip Rivers over Dan Fouts

Bobby Layne _Lions-led the Lions to several championships in the 50`s and turned a poor Steelers franchise toward being respectable in early 60`s

Rams -Norm Van Brocklin better longer than Warner.

Browns-Otot Graham-helped Cleveland win several champuiionships in the 50`s

NYGiants -YA Tittle and Charlie Conerly both helped Giants into multiple championship games.

SD Chargers-John Hadl helped SD win 64 AFL championship

Eagles -Norm Van Brocklin helped Eagles win 1960 Championship beating Lombardi`s Packers

Green Bay Packers- Bart Starr run of Championship in the 60`s beats out Favre by a hair IMHO

Oilers-George Blanda AFL championships in early 60`s edges Moon

Dolphins-Bob Griese by a hair over Marino because Griese did what Marino couldn`t.Won the Big game several times.
Colts-Johnny Unitas by a little bit over Peyton Manning
Redskins-Sonny Jurgensen and Sammy Baugh by a mile over Theismann

I watched Blanda,Hadl,Unitas,Jurgensen,Starr,Tittle,Griese all on TV several times in the early 60`s and later.Johnny Unitas was the BEST QB i ever saw.Blanda was tough enough to play 10 years for the Bears and when Halas cut him Blanda went to the new AFL and helped the Oilers win a couple of championships and hang around long enough to be a effective backup QB until his early 40`s and a Kicker until he was in his late 40`s for the Raiders. Y.A.Tittle`s NYG couldn`t beat Lombardi`s Packers in the championship games 2 or 3 years in a row.Lombardi said Starr was his perfect QB and he was a excellent QB running the Packer offense like a machine .Jurgensen was a gunslinger who started out backing up Van Brocklin in Philly and getting traded to a poor Redskin team and really shining when Redskins converted Charley Taylor from RB to WR and trading for Bobby Mitchell from Browns.Redskins where the last team to integrate in the NFL and didn`t have a black player until 1961 or 1962.
Griese was like a robot running Dolphins offense and yet he could air it out if needed.Bart Starr was the same way.

As much as I love Jim Hart and the Cardiac Cardinals. Both Kurt Warner and Neil Lomax were better to me. Hart is the best for the amount of years he put in with the team and his offensive line was the best in the history of the NFL to me.

I have concluded that the Chedduh Heads need to conduct a seance to channel the spirits of Miss Cleo to act as the agent for the greatest Packer Backer of all time: Art Donovan. Forget about Lombardi, Art was the kind of guy Scientologists wouldn't talk to. Jehovah's Witnesses would leave Art's home feeling like the Aflac duck! Just like Jack Buck is the second-greatest Cardinal of all-time (behind Stan), Art Donovan's curmudeonly stories were funnier than a barrel of monkeys. :D
