He may be our best lineman but I am convinced he has no heart. He never came close to his draft day clippings. He is a bonehead. Macklin plays hard but his skills leave much to be desired. Again you are going in a completely different direction that indicated in previous posts. Comparing Pierce to Huff is like comparing Derrick Brooks to Ray Thompson. Pierce is clearly better and so is McKenzie, I am the #1 critic of Ross on this board, as I have watched him his whole career. Also, it is not laughable that Macklin is above average since he is. How does LD have no heart?

Who is the better tackle, Luke Petigout or LD?

Again the Giants made the better signings and I have said that and I hated the Ross signing.

Macklin is better than Buchanon, you are correct. LD is better than Petitgout though, a good deal better actually. I believe Luke was named to the overrated team and guess what..... Luke has the same number of penalties as LD but has given up 15 more yards due to penalties. Also, he has allowed 2 more sacks than LD and didn't even play half of last Sunday's game vs. Philly. Who is the drive killer now?

Laugh all you want, it will be for not. And yes the Cowboys would want Macklin especially at his price. He is very comparable to Anthony Henry and they paid more then double for him.

Out of 128 starting DB's Macklin is ranked 14th in Passes defensed. Ranked 10th out of 64 starting CB's. He was tops in the league last year to. And thats all with us being in the bottom 8 of passing attempts against out D so Macklin has even less opportunities to make those plays then most other DB's, plus not to mention that QB's away from him to try and pick on the Rookie CB's and less then stellar Tate, which gives Macklin even less opportunites to make plays.

Kareem McKenzie they are paying a lot more then Ross to have one of his worst years as a pro. 8 Penalties and 6 sacks allowed with 3 games to go. How those guys fit into the debate????????

What a weak point. Nice how you use the players Freeney and the passing attack of the Colts that 9 times out of 10 beat anyone they face no matter who it is, even pro bowlers.

Who has a run game and who doesnt?

7 out of 11 of their Offense were drafted by the Giants. 2 of whom the most improtant players on their offense Manning and Barber were drafted. Same goes for the D. They dont have a single high priced FA starter on the team who was a pro bowler before they signed them.

What the Giants do is Draft well, keep their talent that they draft, and bring in fair priced FA's who are on the rise that fit in their scheme and fill a need. Pierce was one of those on the rise type guys, had one good year before he signed with the Giants wasnt a superstar before he got their.

The point was Freeney and the colts passing beet up on anyone, pro bowler or not. So using them as a basis for telling someone to eat crow is very weak. How you could get that point the first go around is beyond me.

Not debating the skill level of Davis but using Freeney as a barameter to his so called suckiness is laughable, because that would make every OT that Freeney has played against sucky OT's.

BIG has made no such complaints about possibly moving to guard. Are you claiming he would become a nuisance if moved there??

No I am not saying Big would complain about being moved to guard. I just thought he was better when he was at guard. Do you think he is going to get a huge contract extension? I used Freeney as an example cuz he cant hang with the big boys. Which is what I want from my left tackle.

You still dont get it. No one can hang with Freenery except for maybe Walter Jones. And none will be available in FA, and none will be available in the draft especially not in their first years.

Never said they couldnt, I dont like Ross either, and Huff is Average.

The whole point being going back to the original debate from page 1 about getting big name FA's, both Pierce and McKenzie were up and comers who didnt get huge money, neither of them were superstars that you seem to think hit the open market all the time and make a team better.

That is exactly the plan we will have to do for ourselves becuase superstars never hit the market and if they do they always disappoint.

Chike's been good, Ayenbedajo has been good, Macklin has been good. Not every player in FA is a superstar. We got the best FA signing in Cards history with Berry, You can't expect that every year.

I am not debating if Davis sucks or not. That has never been an arguement.

As for Other FA's. Okeafer who is one of the tops in the league for DE's in TFL, all with a very low signing bonus. Femi who has been a very pleasant surprise, low pay as well.
