OT: Chad Johnson Arrested for Domestic Violence

DAVIE— – Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday night for domestic violence, according to Davie Police Department captain Dale Engle.

According to a source the incident took place in a vehicle.

Johnson allegedly head-butted his new wife, Evelyn Lozada, during an argument.

When cops came on the scene Lazado, a star in VH1’s Basketball Wive’s Reality series, had lacerations on her forehead, and Johnson was arrested.

If the charges are true, I hope this ends his football career. What an idiot.

The article said she found a receipt for condoms not him.

Even if it were the other way around, it doesn't excuse the domestic violence.

According to the police report, Johnson and his wife argued in his Smart Car after she found a receipt for a box of condoms in the trunk.

"It gets pretty heated," Capt. Dale Engle said Saturday night. "By the time they get home here in Davie it's pretty heated. She alleges he leaned over and head-butted her. He says she leaned towards him and that they butted heads. Needless to say she has a good laceration on her forehead."

Lozada told police Johnson became upset and grabbed her and head-butted her on the forehead causing a laceration, according to the report.

Lozada told police that Johnson began screaming 'I don't give a f---. I don't give a f--- about my career.' His wife then fled to a neighbor's house to escape.

The laceration was approximately 3 inches in length, according to the report.

Johnson told police he yelled "f--- it" and then his wife head-butted him causing the laceration. He also told police he drove away from the scene to allow his wife to calm down, according to the report.

Lozada told police she wanted to file charges, according to the report. She was treated on the scene by fire-rescue personnel, and transported to Westside Regional Hospital.

The 911 tape will not be available until possibly Monday, according to a police press release.

Johnson, a Liberty City native, has domestic violence in his past. More than a decade ago, he got into an altercation with his then-girlfriend Chevon Jex while in junior college. After neighbors called police, Johnson was placed on probation for the offense, while also forced to take mandatory anger-management classes.
