not quite sure how any Christian can be a Cowboys fan when it is a well known fact that Jerry Jones is a direct descendant of satan
that explains the skeleton look jones has gone with. he should have starred in from dusk til dawn with clooney and terrentino(spelling).

I think tom landry was a man of great faith which termed that slogan and perception of dallas. jones is a liberal, therefore he probably is the devil. (just joking here).

Ironically, Jerry Jones stiffed me out of $85 back in 1989...we (Dallas Cowboys Band) were hired to play at Tom Landry Day in downtown Dallas (after Tom's retirement)...we were told that the pay for the gig would be in the '89 contract (which we had already signed). JJ got rid of the live band and went with recorded music of the band (which as of last season, I think he was still using)...we were never paid for that gig - and we had a broken contract.

A couple of us tried to take legal action, but we were "talked" out of it.

The whole thing was a little fishy.

Lastly, as long as they keep that roof open, so GOD can keep watch over HIS favorite football team, then all is good in the blessed state of Texas.

That monstrosity hanging so low over the field is blocking even God's view !! :D

Mr Jones has no intention to raise it as he shouldn't. It meets code.

Tell that to the competition committee who has already had an emergency meeting called within 12 hours of the incident. An issue by the way the committee has been discussing two weeks prior.

Bad night for it to happen bro, Jeff Fisher is the chairmen of the competition committee.

Lastly, as long as they keep that roof open, so GOD can keep watch over HIS favorite football team, then all is good in the blessed state of Texas.

To bad they left the roof closed last night. God must be pissed. And when they do open it he will be pissed to see a giant screen blocking his view.

Anyways, nice try though. I actually like the thing, I dig structures with glass facades, and the players having to go through fans to get to the field is nice. Its a nice venue for the fans, except for the pizza they are trying to sell for $90 (and that isn't a joke they are really trying to sell $90 pizza).

I'd like to thank you for that statement because it's still nearly three hours until kick-off and I've been getting kind of cranky, what with having to wait all day for this 7:00 p.m. starting time and all, and you just gave me a real good laugh which was, I can't tell you how much, badly needed.

p.s. Did Mr. Jones pay for air-conditioning? Because everybody was sweating buckets and I honestly think, and I'm not trying to be Ms. Smarty-Pants here, that a man that wealthy could pay the power bill to cool the place off a little.

I'm just askin'.

Such hatred and jealousy in this thread!

Mad because phx stadium ain't the jewel of the NFL anymore.

Some here say why have jumbotron if at the game?

Good question. So turn off all the tiny trons at phx stadium. Don't need em.

Some negligently said no thought went into design and engineering?

The screen was placed at the exact specified height per NFL guidelines. Mr Jones has no intention to raise it as he shouldn't. It meets code.

Your post was about as well put together as the felon's new crib.

But thanks for stopping by. Keep in mind that our franchise is on the rise, while yours suffers the same fate as Al Davis's faiders. LOL!

Folks please keep it civil and religion free.

Oh and SouthernStar, if you expect any sympathy for any problems the Cowboys have, you are in the wrong place.

In general I think it fair to say that just about all of us here hate the Felons with a passion

for a team that is so irrelevant and has the perception of one that has never ever won a playoff game......there is a lot of cowboys talk going on here.

BTW the board is within league specifications and does not have to be moved. no fines to come lol. I myself can't wait to see it in person and will take bets from the fans around me on every punt. makes for more excitement. jones always gets it right in that regard.

Gigantic video boards a target at Cowboys Stadium
By JAIME ARON
AP Sports Writer

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The video boards at the new Cowboys Stadium were the center of attention at the building's first football game, and that wasn't always a good thing.

While fans were in awe of the world's largest high-definition screens, roughly 60 yards wide, 25 yards high and as clear as any 52-incher, punters for the Tennessee Titans used it for target practice before and during the preseason home opener Friday night and had little trouble hitting it.

Tennessee backup A.J. Trapasso conked it during the third quarter, forcing a do-over once the officials realized what happened. Then Trapasso nearly hit it again, prompting questions about whether the team needs to make the first major change to its $1.15 billion building.

"It is an issue," said Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher, who happens to be the co-chair of the NFL's competition committee, a group that could force the Cowboys to take action if they don't do it on their own. "Something has to get worked out."

The league is already on the case.

"We are aware of it and will continue to monitor it," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Saturday.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Your team and your new stadium sux!

Couldn't have happen to a more deserving organization and fan base.

The best is that it will embody everything that is horrific about the Cowboys. There is a HUGE SHINY problem right in front of everyone's faces, and they are too stubborn, pompous, and arrogant to acknowledge it.

Move along, every thing is fine.

LOL. 1.2 billion dollars, that is hemorraging money, and no sponsor. Good luck finding a sponsor for that embarrassing pit of despair.

You and "MR." Jones need to get a life. All I can say is our stadium cost 1 BILLION less than that monster and we NEVER have to worry about interference. And you think God's favorite team is the Cowboys? What a joke. I don't ussually respond to idiotic post, but I had to for this one. Your opinion is always valued here at ASFN, however, when you say dumb things like, "You're just mad because your satium is no longer the jewel in the NFL", it bears some rebutal.
As far as meeting code, what a crock of s&it. NOBODY else has to deal with punters hitting the scoreboard. Say what you want but it is a BONEHEAD mistake. Live with it.

I am so happy to see that the Cowboys screwed up with their $1.2B stadium. The look on Jerry Jones face was priceless in warmups watching the punters hit that monster screen hanging over the field on 4 consecutive punts. I wonder how many punts are going to have to be rehit because of that screen. You would think if you were spending that much to build a stadium you would make sure that you hung the screen high enough to not interfere with the game being played.

L O W B I D!!!! It will do it every time.

Well, God must have stopped watching after the Mid nineties because your group of consistently overhyped douchebags haven't done squat since then.

Why would God love anything from your team or the State of Texas? Both are pretty much the poster child for Greed, Sloth, and Gluttuny.

If everything your Cowboys do is so amazing and interesting, WTH are you doing trolling on a Cards board to make outrageous comments and bag on a respected poster when you have no clue?

Go home and eat your bucket o' ribs, grab a jar of Miracle Whip, pound a 12pack of Lone Star beer, and kick rocks dude...

This just in. Jerry Jones has petitioned the league to install a new rule. Punters will not be allowed to hit the big screen. Hitting the jumbotron (or whatever you call it) will result in a delay of game.
Kickers will have to keep their punts under 90 ft.

What a pompous ass Jerry Jones is. If this was happening anywhere else to anybody else he'd be headmanning a commitee to have the facility closed.

First of all I would like to say, overall the stadium is very cool. The things that still make our stadium better is the natural turf, a big screen that does not interfere with the game, and no seat licenses. Our stadium was named by Business Week as one of the 10 “most impressive” sports facilities on the globe due to the combination of its retractable roof and roll-in natural grass field. It is the only American facility on the list.

As far as the bold-ed statement of yours, I agree the hole in the roof is for GOD to look down on the Cowboys, just like the rest of the world looks down on them.

And, UOP Stadium doesn't share a parking lot with a Wal-Mart. (I kid you not.)

Oh - and only an idiot would think that God would need a hole in a roof to see anyone.
