OT Deebo Samuel is getting death threats from 49er fans

How many fans do you think the Niners have? To imply this represents a majority of the fans wanting him dead is ignorant. People can be sick but that is one hell of a generalization when I doubt the death threats even make up 1% of people who follow the franchise

Who said it was a majority? and why does that even matter, the fact that even one fan is sending him death threats should alarm people. Sports and entertainment aren't supposed to result in people getting death threats.

Especially a guy like Deebo, if you want to talk about a guy who will do anything to help the team that's him, block, play RB, he did anything and everything. But he dared to ask for a new contract.

Schefter is saying he's not sure Samuel wants a deal in SF right now. He's apparently mad at their negotiations or lack thereof and very unhappy with the response he's getting from 49er fans.

Matt Maiocco who covers the team locally said he thinks the deal will still eventually get done but conceded that it appears there is definitely some hurt feelings and that it would not be a shock if this gets dragged out much longer than expected.

Garrett Wilson would be good for the 49ers, but not sure he'd be able to replace Deebo for a couple of years.

I'm sure it's why he wants a raise because of all the extra work. I have to assume the racial slurs and death threats from fans aren't helping the situation either.

But my guess is you are right the RB stuff is the main issue, pay him for all that extra stuff

Running plays would probably go up with Trey Lance at QB as well.

No inside info but a guess would be the team might have said you only have 10 receiving TD's in 3 years they might be trying to structure the contract by comparing his stats to other receivers, but not including the rushing stats?

I would bet Shanahan is furious he realizes his entire offense changes without Deebo

Deebo has the same agent as AJ Brown and DK Metcalf.

Should be noted our GM had a top 5 grade on Byron Murphy.
He had a top 25 grade on Zach Allen.

He also was gong to draft N'Keal Harry at the top of the 2nd round if not for Belicheck going Belicheck with wrs in the draft.

He had Andrew Thomas as his top-ranked tackle.

The Kyler pick felt like a wild swing for the fences that just happened to work out. Keim doesn't identify elite traits well otherwise.

Edit: If not Keim then the guys he hired to scout for the team.
