OT-I Can't Stand Hotdogging

Seriously, it's idiotic. What I'm referring to was when Jean-Francois sacked Palmer then he gets up and starts dancing around like a knucklehead...while his team is losing 24-3. You want class? Watch Fitz. Whether he makes a big play or he scores, he acts like a professional. His 2 scores yesterday he simply flipped the ball to the official then celebrated with his teammates. Not dancing around like an idiot. Just goes to prove that Fitz is 100% class and players like Jean-Francois are 100% about themselves.

You get the feeling Fitz is never satisfied. If he goes for 200 and 4 TD's, he feels like he could have done more that particular game.

Fitz is the opposite of a guy like Cris Carter. I never could stand Cris Carter jumping up and celebrating like he caught a SB-winning pass each time he'd get a first down, regardless of the score. Saw plenty of games when the Vikings were out of it and he still made a demonstrative "first down" motion after picking up about 6 yards on a play.

I remember a game in 1990 when the Cards were playing the Redskins. The Cards were losing 31-0 and after an interception, Larry Centers put a big hit on the guy who intercepted it and started to flex, gloating about the hit. The entire Redskin team on the field came up to him and started pointing to the scoreboard. That is how you shut up a hotdogger. The scoreboard.

The first thing that came to mind for me, when I saw his display of zaniness, was when my 9 year old nephew finally scored a goal against me while playing NHL 95 (back in 96). He did two laps around the trailer, hooting and a hollering the whole way.

I just figured that Jean-Francois was overjoyed that he finally made a play in that game.

It was his first sack of the year... maybe he figured he wouldn't get another opportunity so he was going to go crazy, no matter the score.

When he did that, I so wanted someone to point to the scoreboard for him.

The anncrs were on it - they called out Jean-Francois for the dance, given the 21-point deficit and, after his second sack, mentioned that RJF (wisely) declined to dance a second time.

I love Larry Centers, but I'll never forget a play in RFK years ago where he just LIT UP someone on a punt return and got up and started flexing his muscles...only to have three Redskins players walk up to him and literally point to the scoreboard which read: Cardinals 7 Redskins...37!

My favorite moment yesterday, was when Sowell pointed to the score board when one of the Colt's dlinemen got in his face after a play. Loved it...he just pointed and walked away.

How adorable of them to put together a little choreographed routine. Guessing that didn't go over very well with anyone else in the organization. Stuff like that reminds me of how the Eagles were in the Super Bowl back in 2005, their defense was apparently too busy celebrating after four yard gains to notice they were losing.
