good analysis but i dont get this last part - if a deal doesnt make you an instant contender, it shouldnt be made? it wasnt worth us to do this deal? if you can get better from a deal, its worth making IMO.

I think AI could really buy in to Detroit's system. In a way, it's a great situation for him--right before he enters the FA market for probably his last deal, he has the opportunity to play well for a much stronger contender.
