These assault claims are getting crazy. The fact that she's using an alias and not seeking a legal battle tells me she's more than likely telling the truth. How they prove Jameis was the actual assailant is going to be tough, however.

Not his first rodeo. Wasn't one of the dumb things he did in college was sexually assaulting a girl that was quickly settled and swept under the table? Uber passengers review and give ratings to their drivers, and drivers can do the same to their passengers. This driver wrote this exact situation on her review of Jameis, and also filed an incident report about it immediately after this happened:

"We categorically deny this allegation. It is our understanding the Uber driver was unable to identify the specific individual who allegedly touched this driver inappropriately. The only reason his name is being dragged in to this is that his Uber account was used to call the ride."

Another person in Uber car with Jameis Winston on night in question has decided to step forward, @FOXSports has learned. Eagles’ Ronald Darby was in car and is releasing this statement:


I felt the need to come forward and clarify some inaccurate accounts of the evening of March 13, 2016 when myself, a friend and Jameis Winston took an Uber ride in Arizona. There were three of us in the car, not just one as has been reported. Myself and Jameis were in the backseat. I am confident that nothing inappropriate in nature happened in the car that evening and Jameis did not have any physical contact with the Uber driver. The accusations are just not true.

I guess I've become so numb to these athletes (also most all celebrities) who get in trouble, that I don't believe a word they say. Even when there is corroborating statements from others who witnessed the incident.

I'm glad the media is reporting that Darby has a past history with Winston. That doesn't mean he's lying or that the Uber driver is telling the truth, I have no idea, but context is important in stuff like this.

She reported it at the time, his defense is one of the same people who defended him the last time. For those that don't remember Darby and another teammate insisted the sex was consensual and the DA eventually decided to not pursue the case. Darby and the friend then refused to cooperate with a Campus review of the incident. The alleged victim filed a civil suit against Florida State and won 950K. She also filed against Winston and he settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.
