Browns WR Josh Gordon flunked another drug test and now will be subject to a one-year banishment, per league sources.

IMO his career is over.

First thing I thought was, "Are you paying attention D-Wash.. and more importantly, Steve Keim?!"

As @AdamSchefter reports, Josh Gordon is facing one-year suspension. Per source, Gordon tested positive for alcohol.

Wow you can get banned for almost anything in the NFL apparently.

Drugs > career/money/fame to many guys. SMH.

Maybe he just prefers his own personal freedom of choice over career/money/fame. Money & fame isn't everything & doesn't = happiness. I wouldn't consider marijuana a drug btw. Jmo.

edit: just seen it was for alcohol. Far worse for you imo.

You don't have to be drunk when you take the test. If you've gotten drunk the night before even two nights you can still flunk the test. Anyone who's done work at any of the Intel plants here in Arizona can tell you that.

Once you're in the program, I think you have to stay off alcohol as well, for, I think, a year and can be tested for that too.

Didn't the same thing happen to No Play Ray Thompson when he was with the Cards?

Can't fix stupid.

What a idiot but I'm sure he will appeal this suspension as well. I wouldn't ever have this assclown on my team! Hope his career is over because only that might possibly open his eyes.

I'm surprised. When I was still working, we had random drug testing and they didn't even check for alcohol. The drug people told us, unless you really get blotto, alcohol leaves the system within 6 hours or so, so there was no need to test for it unless the guy looked like he was under the influence.

Gonna retire a guy for using alcohol? Give me a break. Talk to me when he commits a crime. Kid glove treatment regarding violent crimes in the nfl, yet using marijuana and alcohol bring the hammer down. Ridiculous.

Not Pro Gordon. I readily admit he's a moron, but come on, is this justice?

Drink responsibly and there's no problem. Gordon brought this testing on himself as a result of his DWI arrest last July. He knew the rules and violated them once again.

Kinda of like when outraged people talk about deflate gate being about honesty and integrity, why are questions like this directed toward the NFL with sure passion yet the same question and the same passion is not asked of our government ?

Just sayin'

Not my point. Gordon is out of control and, like Mr. Lynch, flaunts rules and authority. Irony does need validity. BTW, how is Justin Blackmon doing these days?
