Clements 49ers cornerback Nate Clements suffered a broken shoulder blade against the Colts, putting the rest of his season in jeopardy.

Players sometimes return from this injury without missing the rest of the season. Much will depend on the nature of the break. If the shoulder blade broke into multiple pieces or broke off near the joint, Clements could face a more complicated rehabilitation.

The 49ers have pretty good depth at cornerback now that Shawntae Spencer is healthy and playing well.

At least he won't be covering Fitz in the next game, he gives him pretty big issues. God speed on his recovery.

They hope to have both back in time for the monday night game vs the Cards..

The bigger blow is LT Joe Staley out 6 weeks, strained 2 ligaments in his knee when Gore fell into him.

They already lost their starting RT when Pashos got hurt, out for the year.

So now it's Sims at LT and Snyder at RT. I always liked Snyder, but he's not had a good year. Sims is the guy on the Raiders who beat out Gallery forcing them to move him to guard.

I hope he's out for the year....normally teams would place a guy with this injury on IR.
