The last 3 champions have been what would traditionally be defined as "small ball". Miami's typical crunch time lineup had Wade at SF and LeBron at the 4. The Spurs played Parker, Green, Manu and Leonard at the same time in their most frequently ran lineup.

There are very few good teams that don't heavily feature "small ball" for extended runs. The Clippers and Grizzlies probably feature it the least of the teams that made round 2. But the Clippers get to play both sides of the coin because Griffin can handle the ball and pass like a guard.

I am always rooting for him to lose, but I do have to say that I really like the Warriors. Their team seems to be full of "good guys". Non-douche bag star along with a bunch of hard-working, likeable players, coached by a great guy with a great assistant.

While I would root for the King D-Bag to lose against anyone (including the Clippers, who happen to be my least favorite team), I can honestly say that I am rooting for the Warriors.

Same here, for the same reasons.

Curry has been one of most likeable legitimate stars the NBA has had in recent memory, since (imo) Steve Nash and his buddy Dirk.

Lol Warriors fans, I like how she got all quiet and scared once she got called out :big laugh:

Classy gal... What an odd thing to say. Never understand any fans male or female who want to take it to that level. It really is JUST a game. There is no need for that crap. Then again we've all been witness to the lack of class from a large segment of SF area sports fans. 49er fans are the worst and Giants fans are not a whole lot better at Chase field.

Although Lebrons huge inner Narcissist loves that stuff because then he gets to cry about how he is such a victim and such an easy target and how hard his life is and how all his "haters" are big meanie guts! lol Most sensitive superstar EVER. He just cant comprehend the fact that anyone could not adore him.

I dont hate Lebron, I just think he's a big phoney. Even the way this Cleveland return has been spun. "I needed to go to Miami to learn how to win a championship." lol wow

I do respect his game tremendously regardless of the fact that I think he's a huge douche.. He is truly one of the greatest talents, physical freaks the NBA has ever seen.

Lebron just accept the fact that you are never going to be universally loved and go on with your life dude. I hated Kobe, as a Suns fan we all did, but I always respected the fact that he didn't care. :) Tons of athletes get worse than that screamed at them at games and they just ignore the fans, this chick got a rise out of Lebron. Like I said, sensitive.

I don't like LeBron, but I just don't believe in treating any person that way in any situation in life, period.

Wow you don't expect NBA refs to fall for the hook the arm pull the guy down on top of you play. At least they called a double foul on it not just on Green.

The reason Green didn't get a T is the refs had seen the replay by then and knew it was a terrible call and should have been a foul on Delly only.

Another brilliant half by Iggy. Barbosa was huge, Curry getting off early 2nd quarter. Lee missed 2 point blank layups but again his ability to move and pass is tough on Cleveland.

LeBron is unreal, those 2 fallbacks against Iggy were perfectly defended but the shot of the half was that late bank shot. He had no dribble, and in fact had used his pivot foot so he's going up flat footed against 2 defenders, one of them I think was Lee so some size, and he just banks it in, that's an amazing shot.

I thought Pele, I mean Delly had a really bad half for Cleveland, it would appear he's hit a wall physically.

Man Steph fell asleep there took way too long to get into the offense on that last shot of the quarter.

Iggy having another big game. If the Warriors win this series, he should be the MVP.

Ugh. Cavs were only down 85-84 with 5:10 left in the 4th quarter.

Lebron with 40 points again and a triple double. :)

I honestly think Lebron has a very good chance of winning the Finals MVP if he has another epic performance in Game 6, win or lose. Willing this group of misfits to two wins, including one in Oakland, is a legendary feat in itself.

Imagine if Curry had lost Thompson and one of Bogut, Iggy, or Barnes. I don't think GS would have a chance.

It's a fair argument. They probably won't do it because it would be seen as insulting if the Warriors win it, but he's still the best player on the planet and without him this is a 4 game sweep.

Worth mentioning considering the endless debate about size...

The Warriors won the game not just without using a traditional center, but they didn't even have a power forward on the court. They beat the Cavs (who have a lot of size, even with their injuries) by playing 2 small forwards, two SGs and a PG. They frequently went even smaller as both of their primary reserves were PGs.

Talent trumps size. And more importantly, the emphasis on having a 1-2-3-4-5 lineup is dying. Positionless basketball, guys playing multiple roles... its the way of the future.

Barbosa was huge

Curry was ridiculous. When he is shooting like that, and the Cavs have guys like Shumpert shooting, JR hiding from the ball in the second half, forget about it.

Speaking of JR, I'd love to see a video of that 4th 3 pointer he made in the first half.

So anybody else think it was odd that Blatt barely played Mozgov?

I'm thinking he looked at it as Mozgov had the best game of his career in game 4, and they lost big, so he's thinking he's better off going small?

I think it is odd that Blatt hasn't played Marion. His game must have declined a lot because the dynamics of this series would seem to suit Shawn perfectly.

He was great in the first half, in the second half he disappeared and wasn't looking for his shot.

That's sort of his history though, he very rarely plays a complete game.

The one I'm talking about if you remember the Austin Rivers at Duke videos of him cutting away from the basket, catching the ball turnign and shooting as they would have counts of how many steps he took, I'm guessing Smith took at least 4 and maybe 5 on that shot. After the shot went in you could see the Warrior bench screaming for a walk.

Klay has been called for that several times this year but in the series it seems like everyone coming off screens is allowed to take as many steps as they want.

An NBA pet peeve of mine, one thing to ignore it when it's no advantage but on those curl plays allowing that many steps is a huge advantage. But they've allowed it both ways all series.

How about the overtures of giving Tristan Thompson a max deal??

LOL

He'll probably get it (or close to it) because of Lebron and his agent, but it's madness that fans actually want their team to hand out a max deal to TT.

When the Warriors close out the cavs Curry will win finals mvp and rightfully so! He is a freak of nature already one of the best shooters I have ever seen, how about just pulling up from 40 ft before the D even gets up on him lol that was crazy!
