CP and Cat did the same last week with no timeouts and for the win

LOL at the shrug. As if one 32 yard FG by Cat in any way shape or form puts him in the same league as one of the best kickers in the game.

Wow what a game. Patriots are hurting with so many major injuries. Big win for the Broncos.

He's got to win one more SB to make

the definitive claim over Montana for me. But he's right there with him, no doubt.

I love Montana, but he played in a totally different era, where he had a core group of guys for most of his time in SF, on both sides of the ball. What Brady has done since 2001 with a constant turnover of players at all key positions on both sides is simply amazing and will likely never been seen again...

Gronk out for year, means cards face bengals in the superbowl instead of a healthy patriots team?

I'll take that.

Well, he still wasn't wrong...

His statement wasn't wrong. His "confused" shrug as to why someone would want Gos over Cat is what's at issue. I get that he thinks the Cardinals are the best team in the league, but does that mean he Believes they're literally better at EVERY position in football?

Man... That Bengals team is pretty damn good too, but Brady is the last person I would want to face in the Super Bowl with a healthy squad.

No.

I quoted him as saying he wished we had a kicker LIKE Gostowski. Well, we did last week. Nowhere did I imply that Cat, or CP for that matter, were the better players.

But the Cards are now the better team :).

Brady is outrageous. Say whatever you will about inflated footballs, there is no QB more clutch in football right now and possibly ever.

I agree. I know I should really appreciate him as he's the best QB of our epoch, but man it's hard.

He's an incredible player the problem is it's impossible to separate how good he is from how good they were at cheating.

I suspect if Montana had someone telling him the defense before the snap or in his helmet telling him who's open he'd have been even better than he was.

I think Brady is top 5 all time but I can't vote him GOAT when I know they were cheating for so long.

He's already surpassed Montana in many aspects. Montana only went to 4 Super Bowls(yeah, only), Brady went to 6, won 4, and was in a position to win both of those losses in that his team had the lead and it took 2 circus catches to help beat them. He's only the 2nd QB to lead his team to an undefeated regular season...first actually since the 1972 Dolphins did it with a combined effort of Griese and Morrall. Montana also had far better talent around him. He had Rice, Taylor, Clark, Francis, Craig, Rathman, among others while Brady has only had a couple of marquee weapons. He simply makes the players he has better. They've both played about the same amount of games(Brady has had one more full season more than Montana counting the 1982 strike year when only 9 games were played) and Brady has 16,000 more yards and 144 more TD passes(not counting tonight). I'd say that not only has Brady passed Montana, he's pretty much lapped him a couple of times and I'm a huge Montana fan.

Are they the only team to cheat or are they the only team to get caught? Brady is proving this year that the underinflated balls are/were a non-issue as he's still the top passer in the entire league this year.

The 49ers absolutely cheated during their era... Jerry Rice has openly admitted to using stickem since retiring... You think that didn't help many of those Montana completions and TDs??? Who knows what else they were doing on top of that... Considering the era and lack of the oversight we have today there was plenty going on.... Just because you weren't caught doesn't mean it didn't happen... Jerry is a prime example...

I'm no fan of the Pats but ticky tac calls are influencing the outcomes of too many plays if not games. That holding call on Cheung was a horrible call. Took a sack and 3 and 19 to 1st and goal on the 5. It's impossible to play defense in this league. I also thought the offensive pass interference call on Gronk was suspect at best. Too many if these calls affecting too much of the game.

Edged for typos but should have left. Autocorrect made for a funny post.

The defensive holding call on Chung could have gone either way as Thomas had Chung's facemask.

When you look at the replay Thomas wasn't even looking for the hold. Normally these guys are jumping up and down for a flag. For him to not even look for it tells me there was nothing there.
