Cards just signed Chris Rainey, a guy with 2 DV incidents, to their practice squad. So disappointed.

And he was on the 2009 Florida Gator team with:

Aaron Hernandez (murderer)
the Pouncey Twins - all around idiots, Hernandez associates
Riley Cooper - racist
Deonte Thompson - drug arrests
Janoris Jenkins - drugs, assaults

Tweeted the team my displeasure, for all the good that will do.

this team still has Washington on the roster after he's missed 20 games the last two years for drugs and broke his girlfriend's collarbone. appears as if "character" isn't nearly as much of a concern for this team as it used to be. good thing about that... the team has been better. bad thing... makes me feel a little worse rooting for them... philosophically speaking.

I can forgive the DWash decision for now. Strategic to avoid salary cap. They should cut when the team won't suffer as much for his idiocy. No reason for team to be punished if it can bd avoided. This signing was them ignoring the biggest issue in the NFL right now. So pissed!

Should be a good match for the linebacker they just got from San Diego.

Also, isn't Rainey another ex-Steeler?

Yep. Do we pay off a condo for our scout in Pittsburgh? Or does he fly out there every time someone appears on the waiver wire?

Speaking for myself only, I don't think the bolded is fair or accurate. I wasn't "shocked". I knew he knocked her out. Seeing it didn't shock me. I think the outrage is that from the beginning she had come to his defense stating that she was the aggressor and was all over him and left him no choice. This video proves that "story" is completely false. He was the aggressor and from what I can see she did nothing other than verbally assault him. This blows up both of their accounts of that night.

Anyway, I sure will be glad when this is no longer "news" that the NFL network and ESPN is leading off with every hour. Like Farve's 20 retirements I'm sick of it already.

Football season is here and the Cards are 1-0.

Unless she had a gun or knife I don't give a flying .. if she tried to slap him or whatever....... Men DON'T hit woman, especially hard enough to knock them out.

So I think my initial point stands, at least in my mind.

But if law enforcement had that video, it seems unlikely that Rice got off with just probation and anger management counseling.

He got off with less than that. All he has to do is complete services and the charges will be dropped. Meanwhile, a single mother is going to end up doing jail time for possession of a legally owned firearm although she committed no violent crime. Let's review: knock your then fiance out cold in an elevator, you get off with what amounts to a stern talking to. Inform a state trooper that you are carrying your legally owned firearm complete with conceal/carry permit, albeit from another state, in a traffic stop and because the prosecutor wants to make a political statement, you are offered 3 years in state prison. Did I tell you that it's the same prosecutor on both cases?

I was all like "where is he going with all this?" and then I was like "Damn, that's where he was going!" :D

this team still has John Abraham on the roster

He committed a DUI

When I see people texting and driving, sometimes I think to myself.. I would rather deal with the drunks, at least they are TRYING typically.

But seriously.. they both suck.

The firing of Ray Rice sends the wrong message. The NFL has told it's players that not getting caught is paramount. Don't call the police, don't go to counseling, don't do anything that could cost you your career.

No, I think the message is don't beat your wife on camera. Nobody cared until the elevator vid popped up.

"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of the my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public have caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is a horrific. THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!" - Janay Rice

She's mad because the world is screwing with her grand plan. She's not dumb. She wants to get back at this clown by getting paid. She can keep half of what he makes after they got married. Then, all the greedy jackos and do gooders step in and now he's unemployed a month after they got married. She could've gotten millions for a couple years of putting up with his ********. Now, she's just a sad side show.

In this day and age of everything being caught on cell phones or leaked? No, it sends the right message...you beat on your significant other....don't count on having a career in the NFL. Every sport should do this.
