He was convicted on three counts last month, received a minimum 30-day sentence, was fined $5,100 and ordered to enroll in an alcohol-treatment program. His lawyer immediately appealed, but didn't say on what grounds. The appeals process could last months or even a year.

On August 27th, in an Arizona courtroom, the 37-year-old hockey player was convicted on three other counts, including driving with a blood alcohol content that is twice the legal limit in Arizona and excessive speeding.
