Belichick knows a 5th for that talent isn’t coming I’m the draft.

Considering our 5th is gonna basically be a 4th Keim should be offering it right now.

Damn Keim for not offering. Our 5th is going to be 30 spots better than the Pats 5th

In that case we could have offered an unconditional 6th... better than a low conditional 5th...

The arrogance of this FO thinking we don't need immediate help is irritating me. The announcers, the pundits, the fans, hell even my friends who don't give a damn about Cardinal football can see that this assemblage outside of the GOAT is utter trash truck juice. Are you going to continue to trot out this lineup week after week?!! Talib and Peters could have covered this group in shorts and flip flops yesterday!! I'm tired of seeing only Larry do anything out there. I've already had enough. It'll be more of the same next week. Stack the box and dare one of them to make a play. I don't even know if Sleeves has the ability to throw deep to anyone not named Ricky Seals-Jones. Recipe for another azz whupping. Yay!

Not sure why people are complaining about Keim not trading for Gordon...does anyone here think even if they acquired him, Bradford has the arm or accuracy to get the ball to Gordon?

sunsfan88, great point, but at this point I'd be happy at least SEEING a competent # 2 out there. Of course since Sleeves won't last a year, whomever is behind center will at least have weapons to throw to.

I could care less about the results, I'd just like to see the effort to try and improve this team. The Patriots have never been afraid to take a chance. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't. But you can't say that organization doesn't try (even if sometimes illegally). That's why they are perennial winners and we are where we are.

Looks official now.

"According to NFL.com, the Patriots and Browns have worked out a deal that will send Gordon to New England. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has reported that the Patriots will be sending a conditional 2019 fifth round pick to Cleveland in exchange for the wide receiver. "

Browns keeping fingers crossed Josh doesn't screw up or conditional part kicks in.

The browns deserve the hell they find themselves in

They have made some BS decisions but you have to give them credit this year...they are competitive. Could have won both of their games.

I am rooting for the Browns (out of pity).

Us on the other hand...blown out twice and very little cap room to do anything about it.

Would venture to guess that the FO had memories of Daryl Washington when this situation arose and couldn't find it in themselves to pull the trigger. Would love to have Gordon, but you can't fault the organization if it made little or no attempt to acquire him.

The FO needs to at least act like they care. Now that the coaching regime has changed hands, I think the problem with the FO falls on Kiem. There have been many posters on this board who have been saying for months that besides Larry, our WR room is one of the worst in the league. How does a team constantly go into the season without trying to improve the roster in areas of need. We have seen this before with the #2 CB, LB, etc... It's crazy that us armchair QB's on a message board can see a problem long before the FO.
Obviously, the problem is with the GM since we can't blame Arians anymore. I'm not saying Gordon is the answer but we should have brought in another viable WR to pair with Larry. Or even kept John Brown, since he seems to be thriving in Balt.

Oh I sure can sir. We have one, I repeat, one NFL-level WR on the roster right now, and even he's a zillion years old, and a shadow of his former self. It's criminal how bad we are at that position.

The Cardinals should have been falling all over themselves to try to bring Gordon in. To do something to salvage the season. Anything.
