You can just make custom players with their name. It's easy and saves you 60 bucks every year.

i could.....but no. its like one day of work to get the 60 dollars, or one day of work plugging in all the draft picks names and moving all the free agents. ill spend the cash.

Well since you put it that way...Why would you wait 365 days just for a roster update when the time it takes to add the players takes 1 or 2 days tops.

you can do roster updates during the season in madden, so its def. not 365 days. im not arguing with you about buying an XFL style unrealistic football game. i like madden.

And consumer attitudes like this is why the game never improves. If people just took 1 season off in protest then eventually they would improve.

Exactly! Madden 05 was the best and still is the best madden out there. Heck even in Madden 06 they didn't even have punt return blocking!

And you know what makes NFL 2k5 so great? It can be played on the 360 and it STILL has better gameplay and presentation than Madden even with the ESPN merger. The only thing Madden has on 2k5 is it's better graphics by a little.

Madden 96-05 good
Madden 06-08 below average

Backbreaker just proves what Madden "could be" doing instead of recycleing the same animations and not making the jump to Next Gen animations or graphics.

Backbreaker gameplay: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/866/866627p1.html

Keep in mind that Backbreaker will be the traditional 11 on 11 football game and that video is one of their game modes.

Tell me Madden looks better than this

An interesting read about how the AI would be used in Backbreaker http://forum.backbreakergame.com/showthread.php?t=184

When did he grow hair and muscles??

First, my "what will?" post makes me look like an idiot, but like Sargeant Shultz, I saw nusszink!!!!

Exactly my thoughts when I saw the screenshot. Looks like they think he'll be working with John Lott (and Merriman's "trainer") for the next 3 months.

IF the developers keep their promise of super-high customization for end-users there will be plenty of people who will work to make all 32 teams, and make those teams and players as accurate as possible.

From there, it'll downloaded to those who appreciate the effort.

Not unlike, what football-freaks.com has done for Madden PC fans.

Let's hope the developers add custimization for each team and let's you choose logos that look eerily similar to the real thing.

Won't happen, but let's hope they use the same colors as the real teams.

If the level for customization is a promised than end-users would be able to modify things like logos and import/create their own.

You'd end up with a cookie cutter design you'd be able to mold in anyway you wish.

We'd make our own "real" NFL teams.
