The Raiders have withdrawn from consideration so it looks like the Rams and Chargers will be in LA.

It just happened

Awesome.

I am thrilled to pieces they are going back. Whoop-dee-doo and wheels up ASAP. Get the planes loaded and wipe out the memory of the St Louis Years and the greed of She Who Will Not Be Named.

Goodell says Chargers have the option to move to LA. If they don't exercise it, Raiders have option. $100M to those teams if they don't go.

I'm so freaking stoked that I'll get to go to a road Cards game every season. That is just awesome.

The Cardinals are now the furthest east team in the NFC West.

I still don't see 2 teams being able to make it in LA

One team can make it work. 2 teams will dilute the market and less fans will show up for each game

A lot of us in AZ will be able to go to the Los Angeles games too. You pick out the place for meeting up at the halftimes. :D

Jets/Giants have no problem doing it.

Different set of fans back there.

LA fans are very fickle and there are so many other things to do in LA besides going to a game. I believe the Rams were having trouble filling the stadium every week before they moved. Add to that if the team is not very good, well that won't help.

I know the Angels and Dodgers have no trouble getting fans so maybe it will be different with the new stadium being state of the art.

Your second comment disproves your first comment. That said, while I'm confident the Rams have enough support here to do well, I'm not sold on the Chargers making it.

I do feel bad for the die hard Rams fans in St. Louis. However, it would be awesome to finally have NFL in L.A. again. When I visit my relatives I would love to catch a game.

I was a Rams fan during the LA years. They had trouble filling the stadium because they were playing poorly and the fans HATED Georgia Frontiere the owner. Many players did as well, BTW. They had a loyal fan base until she inherited the team and started making decisions, and acting like a prima donna, that alienated the fans.

She drove a proud franchise into the ground. Look for former players, who hated the move to STL, to be vocal about their return back home.

I'm curious to see if the Rams try to make a big move in the off season to generate some excitement in LA. Outside of getting a real NFL QB, I don't know what else they could do that would have much of an impact. The QB market is pretty slim though so their options could be really limited.
