I feel sorry for Cable I think he was a terrific OL coach who is probably in over his head especially in such a dysfunctional place as the Raiders. But that doesn't justify decking an assistant.

Cardfan--- My guess would be that the recipient of that punch had a Buddy Ryan mouth, but a Chris Collinsworth physique, and that he got all Buddy'd up when he should have been listening.

To be fair it happened August 5th before the preseason game. They seemed to take care of Dallas, so maybe it's what the team needed. Nothing surprises me about the Faiders anymore.

the NFL is loaded with talent on every team and a franchise is judged by management that knows how to put a good coaching staff together which has a direction on how to achieve those goals. Like 'em or hate them, the Raiders once had a franchise their fans could be proud of in the wins and championships because of Al Davis and now Al Davis is also the reason that they have the worst management in the NFL...they are clearly the worst franchise in the NFL presently. They seem to replace coaches now more often then we did when we could not scrape out a win. Coaches punching each other, drafts with no reflection on how to use the players and mostly players drafted on athletic potential rather than football ability and how they fit a scheme when the picks go past the first round for the most part. When they do draft a good player like McFadden, the guy is doomed to partake in a wasted program that is not capable of using the guy to win. I hear Raiders now and all I can think of is trash.
