Raiders have always been the front runner in equality.
Not surprising that someone who needs to virtue signal with their avatar on a sports forum would have such a terrible take. The Sarver allegations are dead, but knowledge of that would require a level of critical thinking other than ESPN chyron memorization.Someone forgot to tell John Gruden about this.
No disrespect at all to Ms. Morgan's qualifications at all, major kudos and congratulations to her, but I see this as similar to the Phoenix Suns' moves after the mess that Sarver created came to light.
So... one bad apple right? Right??Someone forgot to tell John Gruden about this.

Does this question imply that you don't think they did? If so, what is your basis for implying she's not the best?Cool, and by what precedent led you to believe they hired the best for the job
And what's the basis to imply she's not the worst either? Nothing, just like saying they hired the best. My stance does not support best or worst, because there is no way to know at this juncture. I am real hesitant to hand out awards to the dysfunctional franchise known as the Raiders till her tenure provides adequate data to support one way or anotherDoes this question imply that you don't think they did? Ok but maybe the other poster know something about her and her credentials and he is able to make that claim. And what's the basis to imply she's not the worst either? I'm not responding to the other poster because I never said she was the best and the tone indeed a reflexively doubting tone. I said hire the best no matter who it is. For decades white men got the job no matter what and many were/are terrible at it. To see a POC who is also female opens a pool of so many more candidates allowing for the best no matter who they are. The Raiders did this with Art Shell in 1988, making him the second black coach ever and first since Fritz Pollard in 1921. We went 67 years between a black head coach.Ok but maybe the other poster know something about her and her credentials and he is able to make that claim.
Just seems the reflexively doubting tone of your response carries a negative bias. Or maybe it's just speech context lost in communications on the internet.
There have been 500 head coaches in the NFL's history — 24 of them have been Black. That's 4.8%. In 2022, with the Steelers' Mike Tomlin and recently-named Texans head coach Lovie Smith, that percentage is 6.3%. Thirty percent of assistant NFL coaches are Black

That doubting tone is exactly the burden "unconventional" demographics have to overcome to even get a job, let alone to be respected in it. There is a big time "standard/default" bias - and that standard/default is white and male.I'm not responding to the other poster because I never said she was the best and the tone indeed a reflexively doubting tone.
