Bush drew critical responses from a number of his nearly 1.7 million Twitter followers when he posted: "Everybody complaining about the lockout! Shoot I'm making the most of it! Vacation, rest, relaxing, appearances here and there! I'm good!"

Bush then added in a second post moments later: "Right about now we would be slaving in 100 degree heat, practicing twice a day, while putting our bodies at risk for nothing."

What a entitled, spoiled brat !!!

At risk for nothing Mr. Bush ?

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3600/player?r=1

Scheduled to be paid 11.8 million this year. So, I guess 11.8 million dollars is "risking your body for nothing."

What a joke. All the God given ability in the world, wasted on a schlub who obviously won't put the time in to get better. Someone who has to deal with the agonizing work of a professional athelete, and get paid millions for it.

Oh the poor thing !

What a joke, hope he gets a dose of reality real soon.

Who cares?

Probably the Saints. An underperformer like Bush doesn't have the right to make asinine remarks like this. This will certainly not help his cause when he has to renegotiate his $11mil+ 2011 salary.

Dope. Athletes should be barred from Twitter

I'm with him. Make the most of what it is.

No problem.

No need to make false, arrogant, skew, and ignorant remarks on a global scale while doing so.

The guy is a mult-millionaire, he has no idea what the term "for nothing" means. If you were going to be paid 11.8 million dollars to do ______ this year, would you ever, even for a second, think you were doing something for nothing ?

I won't even touch the "slave" remark that ignorance, and offensive type remark speaks for itself.

they were mocking him on Mike and Mike this morning because after the complaints he posted that he was just kidding earlier.

They basically said we don't believe you were kidding, just man up to what you said. If you were kidding about it you would have written LOL or JK or something. In the future when you are kidding write that so we'll believe you.

The claim is the Saints intend to release Bush if he won't renegotiate.

Yeah because thats not a broad sweep of the brush.

I am sure many would make the same "lamer" comment about about people who post on Internet Message Boards or Lurkers who just read.

(my eyes are rolling out of my head)

1st off:
Not a tweet follower, SI.com reader.

2nd off:
The only thing lamer than those two things are ASFN P&R posters. :D

p&r is pretty entertaining tho, you can say anything you want and ten people will light their heads on fire believing everything you say.

What makes his vacation comments and "putting our bodies at risk for nothing" comments worse is the fact that nearly every other Saints player has been working out together, risking their bodies voluntarily. Organized and funded by Drew Brees.

Obviously Reggie still has that snobby affluent "I'm entitled" attitude that got him into trouble at USC. Too bad. He would probably be a star in the NFL if he had the right work ethic.

It only matters because the players are trying to convince the judge, the NFL and the fans that the lockout is causing them all hardships and play the victim and then they have this toolbag tweeting about how he's on vacation.

Which is evidenced by Reggie tweeting just after the ones in question: (paraphrasing because I didn't see the tweets but this is what they said on Gambo and Ash)

'Quit being so sensitive everyone, yall are jealous'

and then he obviously got a call from the players reps and shortly thereafter tweeted again and changed it to:

'I was just kidding about the whole thing'

I agree 'who cares' and I also agree with the OP, Reggie is an idiot.

I wouldn't beat him up too much on the slaving remark. I took it as a figure of speech like "slaving over a hot stove" or something like that. Otherwise, yeah, him not taking this lockout seriously is silly.
