Watching the Dallas/Seattle game, Romo took off running and got hit from behind, landing awkwardly and appeared in a good amount of pain.

Tough to lose Romo, but Prescott appears to be the real deal.
He's mucho better than that guy we drafted in Rd 4 that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if it was 3 feet away. I forget his name lol :Dold

Not a bad hit but the dude has a bad back to begin with and he just jerked his body into the slide, would have happened eventually in the regular season if you ask me or his shoulders again... and yes, Prescott is better than Thomas but that does not require much and still an open 'welcome to under 500' season in my opinion :)

Bad break for Romo... just about to slide feet first & gets wrapped up & landed on from behind simultaneously. It looks dirty because it's a Seahawks player & Romo gets injured, but it was a clean hit.

I am going to own zero shares of Cowboy players in fantasy this year. Too much risk across the board.

Elliott will be/is very good. Prescott is a VG prospect but as a rookie, he'll PROBABLY have growing pains, so for the Cowboys offense to be good, they need to have Romo in there for at least the first few games. And keep in mind their defense is not good. Thus they'll probably be behind and have to pass more and run less. I guess I'm saying that Elliot's future is tied to Romo/Prescott.

scumbag Seahawks. It was clear Tony was going to the ground, Avril didnt need to dive on him like that. Also in that game Chancellor leveled Zeke on an incomplete pass for the heck of it.

And Zeke looks incredible. Adrian Peterson included, I don't think ive ever seen a RB who lowers his shoulder and runs at guys as hard as this kid. Gonna be real tough to stay healthy with that style.

Marion Barber ran like that and wasn't the same after 3-4 seasons.

you guys are ridiculous. If you watch the play, Avril is already ready to pounce before Tony makes the move to slide. His arm is raised to hammer him. These plays happen in SPLIT-SECONDS. You think he had time it think oh... he's sliding, I shouldn't hit him in a half a second when he's already running full-speed about to him?

Ezekiel Elliott was video taped (by TMZ) going into a marijuana dispensary in Seattle a few hours before their pre-season game. It's not clear if he bought anything, but it really shows some poor judgement on his part.

Of course he knew Tony was about to slide. Everyone in the building knew Tony was about to slide. You think the Pro whos been playing FB for 20 years doesnt recognize whats about to happen? But he was hoping to get the strip anyways, and that's my point. Its preseason. Why do you need a strip fumble? You don't. Preseason for secure veterans is a glorified scrimmage. Don't dive on the guys back from behind like that when the game doesn't matter. You don't see many Oline chop blocks in PS either for the same reason.

The Deone hit last game was surprising BC you usually don't se those in PS. But hes young and doesn't no better yet. Most vets don't turn it up that high in PS. Nor should they.

I kinda figured that hit by Deone was the product of a weeks worth of trash talk in practice

Hes a young guy whos hyped up is all it was. Of all 32 teams, its rare to see hits like that from vets in PS.

Young guys get too hyped. Like Humphries was saying he was too hype vs the Raiders.

Vets don't get overexcited.

+1

The play was so close that there is no way to know for sure. While unfortunate, it looks as clean as expected given the circumstances.

true. that was also all barber had. he never ran to daylight like zeke will. if anything you will see a lot of what you saw with murray just smaller yet every bit as physical. at the end of the day it depends on durability. every guy is different, but I tend to agree zeke will have a shelf life being as physical as he is. cowboys will need to limit his carries and with the other backs that they have there is no reason to give it to him 25 times a game all the time.

Haven't the Cowboys sucked complete ass for decades? Who cares.
this is more of what I would expect to see here! lol some of the cowboys sucking has led to less hate here and I don't appreciate it very much!

as far as the hit on romo. I wasn't surprised at all to see that happen. He is so lucky he didn't get hurt worse he could have blown his knee out or hurt his back or neck. it was a no question a clean hit. the player was 100% trying to strip the ball before romo hit the ground and almost did. romo should know better than that. that injury is 100% on him. that wasn't the superbowl where you need a john Elway scramble. throw the ball away. I like romo he is my guy, but he has to be better than that. I think he is feeling some pressure finally with Prescott there nipping at his heels. and he does need to step up, but in the right way. step up in the pocket and throw the ball when you get protection like that. no reason for him to even be playing in the preseason giving the circumstances if you ask me. he needs to be in a bubble until game day and I'm joking but seriously....

Romo doesn't finish the season. Back injuries are no joke and they never heal quite right. Every sack could be his last.

Just heard on the NFL network that he broke a bone in his back. Looks like he could be out 6-10 weeks.
