ya you're right the dude deserved to get punched in the face. And the baby deserves to have his lolly pop stolen too....:sarcasm:

Nope I said the guy should go to jail. Still it should have never came to that. You can be 99% right and learn from the 1% you're wrong.

I have had fans heckle me and talk trash. I'm not ruining my day over it. At 62 he should have handled it better. I bet next time he calls, gets up and goes to, or as we can do just text for staff.

Or he was 1 of 70 thousand at the game and it meant noting at all in regards to the other.

Actually I tried to find his FB page which has been deleted.

He's been arrested multiple times, once for possession of LSD.

Just so you know my comment didn't come out of nowhere, I've been saying on this board for years that one of the reasons I don't pony up money to go to NFL games anymore is that there's so many drunk jerk fans that it's no longer a good environment.

I've had people throw drinks at me at 49er games because I wore a Cardinals shirt or hat. I've had my passenger window in my car busted out in a parking lot, and I've been reading stories on this board for years of Cards fans being assaulted. I until recently lived in teh Bay Area so attending NFL games to me meant 49ers or Raiders, two of the more thug life fan bases around.

How anyone could see that and think the young man punching the older guy was in any way justifiable makes me smh. I don't care what the older guy said, it would not justify him getting punched 4 times in the face, at least IMO.

The young man should not be able to attend another Panthers game EVER. He obviously has anger/self control issues.

Pathetic.

Well one did come to his aid and stopped it - I've seen a lot worse at sds - raiders fans knocked a card fan out and hand over handed him to the aisle - I was behind the goal post center top he was below me on the far right, couldn't get there or even close to help, I wanted to take my pioneer 90+ yo grandma to that game, she wanted to go but I said no - not this game their ain't enough Cardinal fans at their own home game - grandma

I completely understand and respect your decision. I just enjoy the NFL game day experience to let a few bad apples stop me. Growing up in NYC has given me the attitude that no one will ever stop me from doing or going where I want due to fear. My son and I set out a goal to get to every stadium and we aim to make that happen. I do wish I would have done San Fran when I was a bit younger tho...:biglaugh:

Twenty one different stadiums (not counting SDS) and never really had a problem. The worst for me was when in our own stadium (SDS) we were harassed more there then anywhere.

Good reasons not to go to games. Not a good reason to say people can't be against players taking a knee. I can't see putting the two together.

There are more than a few players taking a knee that have done really bad things cops have had to deal with. Does that mean their cause is a joke and they're hypocrites? I don't think so. Same as dunk a hole fan the one has nothing to do with the other.

You missed my point. I was saying with all the talk nationally about the issue of players taking a knee and why attendance and ratings are down, personally I'm much more bothered by stuff like this fan punching another fan than I am by the players taking a knee.

There are a ton of NFL players with criminal records, I complain about that type of behavior regularly. It's yet another reason I'm not overly thrilled we picked up Adrian Peterson.

I still think the biggest reason for the NFL problems is player safety, I think fans are starting to realize just what risks these players are taking

Oh, right... good catch! I forgot about how the blades of grass are being CRUSHED by the knees of the players... ANARCHY!!!

kneeling is a sign of subservience.
its what slaves and peasants do for kings and owners.

If the old guy used a racial slur he should be banned. The other guy should be too for throwing punches.

Who is questioning that part? I am just saying if he used a slur that racist POS shouldn’t get a pass. Fans of all races deserve to see the game in peace too.

A racial slur to a white guy is OK, where have you been? It's called white privilege.

Sounded to me like he was saying respect or disrespect or something. Never heard him utter any racial slurs like "cracker" or "******."

OK, there were no racial slurs in that video. The old man was saying "no repect" and got drilled before he could really finish the word.

Also, both were white guys and looks like the young guy's girlfriend was also white. Why would there be any racial slurs between them?

It appears the guy is evidently claiming the old guy was making vulgar comments about his girlfriend (womanizing)?!? That would line up with why the girlfriend was up in that confrontation.

Again, we have no clue what was being said before that video but if true? Probably lots of guys in that stadium might have reacted the same. Not that it justifies it at all.

When we went to the NFC championship in Charlotte fans in the stadium were super chill and friendly in our section. After the game outside of the stadium was anarchy.

I've never witnessed so many brawls over such a short time period. And they were panther fans on panther fan brawls. They would break out right on front of the police (no regard for the police presence at all) and they would all get rounded up and immediately the cops were on to another fight.

The cop I talked to outside said the problem wasn't people coming out of the stadium so much as the massive influx of people who didn't attend the game heading toward the stadium during the 4th quarter.

The brawls were going on already outside and then 10's of thousands exited the stadium in to it.

Im not going to read all that babble, if you want to have the right to be RACIST and agitate someone then you could do that, but be warned there is consequences to that, and it will not be nice. You dont worry about the assailent, you worry about your potential consequences if you feel you have the god-given right to hurl racial slurs at someone.
I am sorry. Physical assault is not justified and if you live by what you say, you will eventually live in a cell.

This. It really isn't. I was only making the point that if people were badgering someone's girlfriend verbally? Many guys would react the same way. How many would just walk away? Who knows if it's true. This guy could just be making stuff up to justify his stupid behavior.
