Joe Smith, a never has been and a Chris Wilcox, a never will be for Tyson Chandler just doesnt seem fair.

The league needs to rethink their trade policy about matching salaries. Its not about getting talent for talent, its about getting expiring contracts.

This is really sad. The problem from what I hear is the ticket and merchandise sales in NO even with that team being a solid competitor were just absolutely abysmal.

Unlike sarver who during our peak years was making gobs of money, the hornets literally didn't have much of an option but to do a salary dump.

New Orleans doesn't deserve the team. Ship 'em to Seattle where the city actually cherishes their NBA basketball.

I hardly see how getting two decent post players for a 3 months rental instead of an injured cap killer qualifies as a rip-off, it's not like Tyson Chandler would put NO over the top.

He is grossly overrated (basically had 2 "good" seasons out of 8, playing with Paul), has nagging injuries and has been putrid this year. Given the financial troubles he Hornets are facing, it was bound to happen, good trade for both teams imo. Next step for the Hornets : shipping Stojakovic and his ridiculous contract out of town.

St.Louis is totally capable of supporting an NBA team. I would be courtside for when the Suns come here once a season lol...

Having lived in StL for four years for college I don't think StL could support a NBA team. St Louis is a middle sized city and already has 3 pro teams, and only one that they're really bananas about (the Cardinals). Plus they'd likely need to build a new arena for a NBA team (unless they could shoehorn them into the Savvis center). Kansas City makes more sense as far as Missouri goes since they only have 2 pro teams, and since they don't have NHL or any major college hoops they've got no one to compete with during a big chunk of the NBA season and the Sprint Center is already built.

Was your second sentence intended to support the claim made in the first?

This is a silly move for NOH because they have NO solution for next season.

Actually it looks like a $olution to me, a $arver type solution. The hornets just dont have the money and in this economy cash is king and player assets are undervalued. Everything is getting cheap out there, kind of scary. Raef Lefrentz is the hottest trade target out there apparently because of his expiring, insured contract.

No money is better than no center. This doesn't $olve anything, because if they cant get a legit center next season, they will lose even more money because they arent a contender and they will only have a fraction of their ticket and endorsement sales.

Trade has been rescinded as Chandler did not pass the OKC physical.

Weird. Is it news that Chandler has a bad back? Didn't the Thunder already know that?

I'd like to know more about these routine player physicals.
Did an MRI show damaged cartilage?
Did he not jump high enough?
Did he have an STD?

See what happened when the Suns traded Q to NY. It cost the Suns Nate Robinson to push the deal through.

Looks like it is the Hornets who are trying to rip-off Thunder, hiding his bad toe :)

hahahahaha

So Chandler has a bad toe. The doctor who performed the surgery on it two years ago coincidentally is the one who declined the clean bill of health because he doesn't know how well it will hold up.

Like the programmer who finds a faulty string of code and laughs, wondering what imbecile wrote it, only to realize it was his own work from months ago.

The mechanic who curses the shoddy workmanship on a carburetor before he remembers he rebuilt it last year.

The bridge builder who takes the 12 mile detour because he doesn't trust the suspension of his latest work.

The artist who laughs after hearing a customer wants to buy one of his pieces in the back near the dumpster.

Classic.

Dude they didn't hide it, all medical records are released to the other team, and the doc who examined him is the one who DID THE SURGERY. Not to mention there's a news article every time one of these players even visits a doctor.
