Well, that was nice to see.

Scary Gary with two goals! Nice to see him back from the broken leg. That was a good win last night. I hope they carry it over to Friday night.

I heard that Gary Roberts lugged a giant broom to the igloo tonight. This won't be a long series.

You know who would win in a fight between Avery and Ruutu, right? Gary Roberts.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Penguins forward Gary Roberts will sit out Friday night's second-round playoff game against the New York Rangers with a groin injury.
The same problem forced the 41-year-old Roberts to miss the final two games of Pittsburgh's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Roberts scored two goals in the first game of that series.
Roberts decided he couldn't play after going through the team's morning skate Friday.
"It's Gary's call," Penguins coach Michel Therrien said. "We're disappointed that he's not able to play, but we have to respect that decision."
Roberts played only once during the second half of the regular season after breaking a leg and spraining an ankle Dec. 29 against Buffalo.

That's okay. He'll be back soon. The coaches just realize there's only so much pain one team can take, so they have to reign him in a little and save him for later in the series ;) I'm told his shadow is going to lay some hits on Avery, though.

Did you see it, with 14 seconds to go? The Rangers shot a puck that was going in, and a shadow flitted across the goal mouth, and suddenly, the puck hit the post and clanged out. Who was that shadow? Gary Roberts, of course ;)

Man, a bad break for you guys. That's one heck of a frustrating play. Ref made the right call, but that doesn't soften the blow. Had a chance with the power play after the makeup call, but the Flower could not be beaten today. Good series; both teams have looked like winners.

You know who needs to take a good shot to the knees? Avery. Trying to get at Fleurry with his stick at the end. Him and that thug from Philly both. Rutuu and Roberts might be bastards, but at least they don't go for injury.

Tonight is an absolutely must win game for the Rangers. Here's to hoping we weather the storm and grab it.

Oh, and the Cryers are up 2-1 on the Habs...wow, is this round working out perfectly!

Man, talk about being let down by your goalie and not taking advantage of your opportunities! We kept on making stupid mistakes and giving up bad penalties, but the Rangers couldn't capitalize. Lundquist (sp?) just isn't on for the Rangers either, and it killed 'em. Cool. Bring out the brooms and let's sweep the Big Apple under the rug!

Ah, you had to figure NY could pull one of these out. I thought they'd be throwing everything but the kitchen sink at us. As it stood, the game could have just as easily gone our way as theirs. We even had one of those goals that should have been good but, per the rules, cannot be allowed because of an obscured angle. Oh well. We'll put it away Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Well, we had enought luck going our way. That game seemed to be a case of our luck running out.

Hit the cross bar once, the posts 3 other times. Our players missed 3 open net oppourtunities, and a penalty shot. Ugh!

But the Rangers played well, and earned that W.

On to Sunday!

Hah! So much for a sweep. Go, Rangers!

 When I heard Gary Roberts was coming back in the lineup I gave him a call. I said, 'Gary, Assface needs one. Can you lose one, lose one for the Assface'. The Roberts is benificent, and so he agreed. He told me to tell you, though, on Sunday...he's going to hit Drury so hard YOU'LL feel it. Sorry, bro, wouldn't hold my breath for a win Sunday if I were you :D

In all seriousness though, even if I hate not sweeping, I'm glad your team got a win, Assface. You're a fun guy (not a 'shroom), and you deserve at least that.
