With the NBA buzzing about De’Aaron Fox preferring a trade to the Spurs, some teams are wondering if Chris Paul could become attainable. If San Antonio were to acquire Fox before the trade deadline, multiple contenders are open to the idea of renting Paul for a postseason run.

Now this I'd be into, but he'd probably prefer a more legit contender.

The Magic are viewed as a potential sleeper team to pursue De’Aaron Fox ahead of the trade deadline.Orlando has the necessary players, prospects and picks to make a very compelling offer.A quartet of Fox, Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs could make serious noise.

Robert Williams is generating a strong market from title-contending teams in the Western Conference. The Lakers, Nuggets and Rockets have all recently expressed interest in trading for Williams.Williams is averaging 5.8 points and 1.7 blocks this season for the Trail Blazers.

Sure but if these players will be kept, Orlando has very few assets left to trade for Fox. The package of Anthony Black and some mid 1st rounders doesn't net Fox.

If they know he is going to leave in free agency, who outbids that?

That is the problem they're facing.

Especially if he is dead set on joining the spurs.

A lof of teams do, IMO, his contract will expire only the summer of 2026, so the Kings did react in time.

If the reports are true of him wanting to, specifically, end up in San Antonio... then I disagree.

I don't see any team, that isn't stupid as hell, and the NBA does not lack for it, trading for him without some assurance that he will resign.

The Spurs have the cap space to sit on their thumbs and sign him on their own when the time comes.

The Sixers continue to receive trade calls from contenders on Guerschon Yabusele. On a minimum contract, Yabusele is averaging 10.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 39.4% on threes.Yabusele will be a coveted unrestricted free agent target for many teams.

The Heat, Lakers, Pistons, and Timberwolves have recently expressed trade interest in Bruce Brown.Brown’s $23 million expiring contract will make negotiations difficult, especially for teams over the apron, but Toronto is indeed generating a market for the veteran combo guard.

Kevin Huerter could be included alongside De’Aaron Fox in a trade before the deadline. The Kings have been shopping Huerter for over a year, and this might become the right opportunity to offload his contract.Huerter makes $16.8 million this year and $18 million in 2025-26.

Houston has shown interest and makes sense for both sides. They're a team who could probably convince him to stay also. Respected history, good management, and not far from San Antonio in terms of distance. It depends on why he wants to be in San Antonio. Obviously Dallas is Luka's team so Dallas wouldn't make sense, but he could be the man in Houston. The Rockets have a great young front court also, although they don't have Wemby. The Spurs also are in a weird place regarding Pop's health so their future is questionable around Wemby.

They'd been flirting with deep runs for years, Houston is having their first good season in years. A young, promising team like they have, giving up a lot of assets for a rental would be crazy to me. And Kawhi was a proven superstar with finals MVPs, defensive MVPs, a ring... while Fox is a dude who scores a good amount and made the playoffs once.

If they think they can resign him, then that is another story, but if he is dead set on San Antonio then it would be really foolish.

I also just don't think for is that kind of star. He is a good player, but not at all someone I'd make a huge gamble on.

What they need to do is upgrade from Jalen Green. He is flashy but an absolute sea anchor for them. He is what Oubre was for the emerging Suns... this fun guy who makes some highlight plays but somehow the score always seems to move in better directions when he isn't in the game.

I would think he wants to be there because of Wemby and the reputation of that front office. The Texas tax situation also is probably a factor.

He also probably REALLY wants out of the clown show in Sacramento.

The Bucks remain in aggressive pursuit of Zach LaVine.Milwaukee is willing to include Khris Middleton and draft compensation in discussions with the Bulls. If LaVine indeed ends up in Milwaukee, it will likely happen with multiple facilitating teams involved

The Magic have quietly been an aggressive team in the trade marketplace.Orlando has inquired on De’Aaron Fox and Cam Johnson as potential trade targets ahead of the deadline.Keep a close eye on the Magic over the next few days as they look to add more scoring firepower.

The trades have started, kind of.

The Clippers are trading PJ Tucker, Mo Bamba, a future second-round pick and cash to the Utah Jazz for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.
