I'll drink to that-----I am so very happy that back in the 60's I explained how the game of football was played to my wife. She has become an avid fan of the big red, and we had season tickets until it became unreasonable to spend that kind of money when we went on a fixed retirement. We still get together with friends, (our house or theirs) and party on game days. Great fun.

Quick story. Dated a guy back in the day when opening day was Labor Day weekend. Asked him if he'd hang out at the bar and watch football with me all day on Sunday. His reply? "It'll be too nice outside. No way!" I shoulda dumped his ass then and there, lol.

Gotta give a toast to the football wives. Been married 15 years, and she's watched our Cards get hammered for all of those seasons. She's one hell of a trooper, I must say. I was so happy when we first went 8-8, because she really started getting into it then, and then man, the next year when we went to the SB, you've never heard a woman scream so loud or so much. And she knew and said from the beginning of the season that year that we were going to the SB, from preseason on--she never did that before and it happened. When we finally made it, just the look on her face was priceless. She actually cried at the end of the Philly game. Awesome.
