I would like the deal better if the Browns didn't have to make the picks. Browns were a 5 win team with Richardson and Colts need to take pressure off Luck. Win, win.

With Willis McGahee heading to Cleveland, it will be interesting to see how their stats compare.

Time will tell on the lopsidedness of the deal. IMO, there's only one RB in the entire league worth a 1st round pick (hint: we could've drafted him instead of Levi :D ). Trent has the potential to become one of the top backs in the league if he can overcome the injury bug, but a career 3.6 YPC is not worth a 1st round pick.

The team wasn't going anywhere with Trent to begin with, so why not try and build for the future. Then again, Cleveland has gone into the draft with several picks in the Top 100 the past few years and have come up empty.

Well, yeah, they could blow the pick. But, your second sentence is why I think it's a great trade for the Browns.

First we had "Suck for Luck".

Now we have "To the slaughter for Bridgewater".

Who will win? Jacksonville or Cleveland?

I believe the Colts are in " How Can We Componsate For Not Having Bruce Arians Mode " and I don't believe Richardson does that .

Outstanding trade for the Colts.

Yes, TR didn't have huge per carry numbers, but he also faced stacked boxes all the time, and was the ONLY weapon that awful team had.

Now he's going to a pass-centric team that has a stud QB, some WR weapons and will fit in nicely. Going forward, he will be around 4.5 YPC and have a very solid season. Give Luck a legit back, and play action becomes deadly there, IMO.

I would not be shocked if the Browns offer the Jags their 2 2014 first

rounders and the 2015 first rounder for Teddy. Good trade for the

Browns this is a passing league now and Trent is an ordinary talent

No their in the "Pagano best cancer so we no longer have any type of emotional motivation" mode.

The Teddy Bridgewater lovefest, by so many, seems to be out of control. He is not that good. Good, but not great.

I may have to adopt the Browns as my favorite AFC team. They've finished 5-11 three out of the last four seasons!

Outstanding for Cleveland. The current regime had no connections to Weeden/Richardson i'm glad they they tore up their 2011 draft and tanking for a QB who isn't 29.

Don't like it for the Colts at all cause their ceiling is still a wildcard team with Richardson. If they miss the playoffs they'll regret this one. Keep your 1st rounder, get Ballard back next year and draft a RB late.

Just saying.

Richardson has not shown to be the next Adrian Peterson which is what one expects/needs when you use the #3 pick overall for a RB. I think the Browns made the right move with this trade.

Wonder if Horton punched a wall when he got the news. Hoyer as QB and no RB worth a spit on the Offense. Deja vu all over again.

I agree. Richardson is pretty overated at this point. He had a very good OL to run behind and he's been pretty pedestrain.

Maybe he'll flourish in Indy but if I'm Cleveland, I make this trade. Just another reason why, in today's NFL, you don't take RB's very high in the draft.

Add two more people who were on point with this one. I'm wrong to often to not point it out when I get one right. :)

He is a rookie for heavens sake- 1st round pick or not- a rookie on 2 different teams in his rookie year no less- He has great value - maybe not what both teams gave up for him- but maybe he does? How the hell would you know- his head is still swimming.

Pagano will get him right in his much more complicated offense- The Colt team mates seemed supportive - He has protections to learn- dragons to slay, Andrew Luck is an asset but also a demand on a young RB.

Not all NFL Players are plug and play Madden ready- instant gratification = instant scorn- I believe shooting stars burn out fast- I wish him a l-o-n-g drawn - out career in the NFL!

Umm... I had to take you off Ignore because you're so wrong about this. Maybe check your facts on this.

Which are all perfectly valid reasons not to draft him 3rd overall.
