For those that CANT see the video what did he do?

He sat there watching instead of practicing....

He was walking in a running drill.....

He took a ball that was supposed to go back to the ball boy and punted it...

He took part in catching drills, but instead of catching the balls, he swatted them down like a DB.

The whole organization looks pretty bad right now, bad decisions and it looks as if no one is in charge. What a switch from just a few years ago

Some of us what to erect a statue of Whiz for just GETTING us to the Superbowl. He actually won 2.

I actually thought the Chargers letting Marty go after their 14-2 record was slightly worse than Shanahan being let go.

I would argue that getting the Cards to the Super Bowl deserves a statue.

Getting the Broncos to the Super Bowl with John Elway and Terrell Davis...expected.

I find the entire Broncos' debacle of an offseason to just be hilarious. Somehow right now I know Jim Skane is laughing his tail off.

They're almost as dysfunctional as the cardinals used to be (let's see them sustain it for 60 years, though).

c'mon brandon - you can't take that suspension laying down - you need to hit eddie royal with a chair or something or tape pictures of injured spleens to chris simms locker

there has to be some way you can continue to fracture this team

I don't know whether to laugh or be disgusted. The over the top-ness of it made me laugh, however overall it is rather disgusting. But also to be fair the coach has been an idiot involving pretty much every decision, so although BM is going about it the wrong way, I can understand WHY he is doing it.

I think I said a few months ago, that this might be one of the first if not the first head coach to be fired before a single game is played.

Now fast forward.

He'll probably get to coach a game, but it's hard to see him last the season.

I am sorry, but this is hilarious. I of course wouldnt want this happening with anyone on the cardinals but the fact that he just keeps batting balls down and punting them down the field is plain funny.

On another note, when did Josh McDaniels get to become so curt with the media. My god, the man acts like he has 5 superbowl rings. HellO! You have accomplished nothing, dont act like yor are Belichek or something.

I think Marshall's misconduct is all centered around a loathing for McDaniels, that he wanted a trade because of him and that he is acting the way he is because of that wish and that dislike. That said, I can condone Marshall's sentiments against McDaniels, because the guy came in like a complete idiot moron and acted like an ass the way he treated Cutler. Okay as far as that goes. The problem is that Marshall has turned into a giant child, has gone way too far, and has spent every bit of good will people might have had for him under the circumstances. Just two dumb schmucks, IMO.
Agreed. I think he's taking this too far.

Well, after all he is a protegé of Bill Belichick. That's where McDaniels learned his craft and developed his style. That's why the Broncos hired him.

The problem is that history tells us that although Belichick is a coaching master himself, his coaching tree has not been very successful. Just look at guys like Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini, and now McDaniels in the NFL; and the likes of Al Groh, Kirk Ferentz, and Charlie Weis in the NCAA ranks. None have had results anywhere near the expectations of them when hired. The one notable exception is Nick Saban at LSU and now Alabama, but he had to go through a lot of controversy and a poor stint in the NFL.

This guy gets it. From the NFL web site one of the on the fringe players. An excerpt form Coy Wire of the Falcons. By the way our Lance Long is also featured there.

Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009: Yesterday was a really tough day. I got up at 6:45 and had my usual for breakfast; a shake made of vanilla soy milk, vanilla protein powder, a banana, blueberries, strawberries, granola, and peanut butter. The special teams meeting started at 7:45 and lasted for about 30 minutes. Practice started at 8:40. It was tough because it was full pads, which means there were a lot of collisions, and it was extremely hot and humid. I lost about 4 pounds of water weight at practice … and I was even drinking Gatorade and water the entire practice! After the 2 1/2-hour practice ended, I got in the cold tub (which is approximately 34 degrees) for 20 minutes … ahhh … nice and cold to reduce all the swelling in the joints and to constrict the muscles so that some of the lactic acid can be squeezed out of the muscles and minimize soreness. After my shower I grabbed some lunch and took it back to my room, scarfed it down quickly so I could get into bed and take advantage of a little nap time! I took about a 45-minute nap and had to get up and go to defensive meetings, which started at 1:15 and lasted until 2:45. We then had another practice at 3:15, but this time we wore helmets, shoulder pads, and shorts. Not quite as tough as pads, but still hard work because there’s a good amount of contact. This practice lasted until 5:25. Man, that was tough; two long, grueling practices in Hotlanta. I wish I could have just gone back to the room to relax and enjoy the evening after a long day’s work but we had to eat dinner and then go to evening meetings until 9:45! That’s the typical day during training camp. By the time those night meetings are over I’m exhausted. There’s only a small window of time left to get a snack, get back to the room and call my wife so we can talk about the day before the sandman comes knocking. I talk to my wife while I eat and do my nightly routine of stretching and pressure-point release therapy. I say goodnight, I say my prayers, and then I wake up at 6:45 and do it all over again. As my teammate Mike Peterson says, “It’s hard, but it’s fair.” I know that I am so blessed to be able to play this game … I am incredibly thankful for even the most difficult days.

In fairness, when they keep asking him the same question that he's already declined to answer, what's he supposed to do? Cave?

marshall is one of those guys that just defies logic. I remember pre draft both Harry Greene and I had him on our draft steal lists, I called him a poor mans Boldin the way he plays the game. He's obviously been a terrific NFL Wr, but talk about headcase. Constantly in trouble off the field and now all this stuff.

I will say this, you have to wonder about Josh McDaniels, he's got a situation where the 2 best players on his offense, Cutler and Marshall, effectively tried to force trades. Cutler succeeded, Marshall remains to be seen.

This has to lower his trade value though, he's a guy a lot of teams would love to have as a player but all the baggage that comes with that has to be making teams leery of the trade. Then you see that footage and red flags go up.

His is only hurting himself. Hope the Broncos suspend him for the entire year and do not pay him anything.

I was watching First Take this morning, and I honestly don't know what I am most disturbed by... Marshall acting like a petchulant child, or Rob Parker who blatently defended Marshall for his actions claiming

"this is what you have to do, I think he is doing the right thing"....

ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME? I mean what a joke, it is one thing for Marshall to act up in a rage, and apologise for his actions later, its a COMPLETELY different animal to have a national columist defend his actions and claim he is in the right...

I wonder if Rob Parker's son is going to pull the same thing on his Pop warner team this year, if he is does not get his favorite number on his jersey? (2-1 odds says he will) :D

well it is dumb of marshall to do this. He is only hurting his reputation and the broncos leverage to trade him in a deal. If he truly wanted to be traded he would keep it professional and help the broncos in the process by not doing these things that make the situation look completely desperate.

However, I also blame the broncos front office/coaching staff. Terrible team management since firing the HOF coach that appeared to be reloading the team. now they have lost their two YOUNG pro bowl caliber players.
