just a couple of weeks ago you were singing a whole different song. I won't be surprised to see the same thing happen again. I think this dallas-sanantonio-phoenix triangle is overrated. Either way you spin it I think those teams will probably play 7 games against each other. I'm just glad dallas won't have to do it against the spurs again in the 2nd round. I think dallas and phoenix are both better than they were 2 years ago and since then the head to head record is nearly tied with a lot of close games. So why pro suns people claim that they have an edge over dallas is beyond me. It's also hard for me to believe people claim the mavs have a clear edge over the spurs when you look at their head to head play....and the empty trophy case. The only thing that is clear when looking at the three is that the spurs have a great record against the suns of late.

it's pretty simple really. Despite major injury problems the Phoenix Suns beat the Mavericks two years ago in the playoffs and last year pushed them to six games. Don't forget also that Phoenix had big leads in several of the games in the series last year, and I think it's completely fair to say that fatigue was a big part of those collapses.

This year (knock on wood) the Phoenix Suns are completely healthy. If they can get past San Antonio, and I'm not at all confident about that, I think they'll beat Dallas in 6.

Injuries are part of the game. It's easy to use them as excuses for losing. That's not the case here though. San Antonio and Phoenix have healthy rosters where there were injury problems last year. I think it's safe to say that gives them a better shot against Dallas this year.

I've never understood all of this advance posturing anyway. Does saying "We're gonna beat you" make it more likely? Since the answer is no, it makes more sense to wait until the games have been played.

Agreed. But I still like to troll.

Lucky? Okay excuse maker. "Mavericks got lucky waah waah waah", tired of your lame excuses. Suns have yet to do what the Mavs have done and that's the bottom line. The rankings are as follows.

Spurs

Mavericks

Suns

End of story.

actually, last year is about as relevant as '93 and '76. so we've been to the finals one more time than your dogs.

dude, are you ********? You said this same thing a couple weeks ago and I completely refuted it then, but I guess I'lljust have to refute it again. I've ALWAYS maintained that the Suns could beat Dallas if they played them in the playoffs and would likely lose to SA - i've been saying that for THREE years now and never deviated from it.

that's as sad statement as I've seen anyone make about their own life in a long time.

Since when has trolling boards had anything to do w/ the state of anyones life? Posting on messages board is posting on message boards, it doesn't matter if you are doing it to add value or f*** w/ others, it's still a waste of time (but a fun one at that).

if you have that much time to waste, then you're life is pretty pathetic IMO. I know, I used to be a message board junkie a couple years ago.

also, feeling the need to screw with people and go on to other boards doesn't really reflect too well on your character - especially when you're nowhere to be found after talking smack and then you're squad has a horrific choke job at home against us and then gets their doors blown in against us the last twotimes they met. If you came back right after those games and gave credit where credits due and reaped what you had sown, that's one thing. But to run and hide like a little bitch after those last two games, again, just speaks volume as to your character, or lack thereof.

taking pride in being a troll is just mind-boggling to me - it basically just screams I have nothing better to do with my time than to be a jerk - if that's not the definition of a douchebag, I don't know what is.

what i meant then and now....was you were stating then that the mavs were better than phoenix(when phoenix was in a funk). Now you are putting phoenix over dallas(which is fine as the homer in me would do the same thing for my team). I'm sorry if i'm confusing you with someone else. I'm sorry, i'm ********. I am from texas.

eh, it probably WAS me - I'm a willy-nilly flip-flopper! that being said, seeing us turn it on in the two dallas games and the Utah game gave me much more confidence in my boys against anyone but SA.

For what it's worth, the Nuggets bench is apparently much better than the Spurs bench. In a game where virtually nobody significant played for either team, Denver won in San Antonio by 23.

No Duncan, Parker, Ginobli or Oberto.
No Iverson, Camby, Carmelo, Nene, or Martin

I wouldn't have been happy to shell out too much to see my team's bench get their ass kicked in a meaningless game if I was a Spurs fan...

maybe not, but if you were a Spurs fan, I'm sure you would have been happy as hell the last three times they won the title, doing the exact same thing at the end of every year.
