I'm aware we've had some discussions on Soul music on this forum, but I must dedicate a thread to one of my faves....Otis Redding... like his idol (and another favorite of mine, Sam Cooke)... they were on the verge of really elevating that genre into the greatest heights, but as everyone knows.. their lives ended before they even reached their prime......

Im just sitting here watching this dazzling performance of Redding at 1967's Monterry Pop Festival and it just makes me yet again wonder... what if????:

That was truly the defining moment of career right there.... Here's some other memorable footage:

True.. he might have done quite a few covers.. but he added a lot of his own into the efforts.. especially his legendary voice... just..wow.. no mere words can explain...... Genuinely.. one of the best pure singers of all-time in any genre.. and what's remarkable... in such a brief time.. but yet... the memory/soul forever last eternally.....

Nah... that would be Pez (because I love injecting/snorting it)....:p

Seriously though.... in terms of music.. youtube.com is the best source out there for now... in fact... re-established my interest in music when it began to wane......

You must admit... it's probably the best site on the 'net (besides this one).... Well.. I admit not better than a certain kind of site.. but I wont go there! :D

Well, I'd take IMDB. You Tube is pretty cool though....

I would probably take DVDtalk or AVSforum, but Youtube is great, no buffering ever when playing vids there.
