Ok let’s flip it up, tell me which QBs taken #1 took an absolutely pathetic at the time situation with an unproven college coach and managed to even for a slight time a winning feeling an win more games year after year. It’s all BS because not sure anyone e er took a QB #1 and then saddled him with a rookie totally unproven coach, that has now proven his system is garbage in the NFL but sure let’s lay all the blame on the kid. Lots of QBs take awhile to learn the NFL game, what sucks is our idiot coach doesn’t teach an NFL game so Kyler is still behind… The only move is to bring in a proven NFL coach and see if the situation can be salvaged…
Two things. First, I never blamed it all on Kyler. Second which number is likely higher? The number of future HOF (Tier 1QB) making the kinds of mistakes Kyler is making with this sample size and anemic results or ones that simply were not making these kinds of mistakes and putting up numbers at this stage of their careers that made everyone look at them even early and say "they got it"? I think we both know the answer. I am not saying it can't happen but he has been starting, in the same system and still making a ton of bonehead mistakes that are NOT on Kliff. I have said from day one we should know who he is by the end of this season.

Geno 26/34 275 yards
Kyler 25/35 175 yards

IDK chief.
Exactly. Kyler is the first "great" QB to operate without a great running game. Wut?!?! Look, I brought up Kliff. I don't think he is a great coach, and I am not sold on his system. However, that only gets you so far with the crap we have seen out of Kyler at times. That's a crutch. Kyler is responsible for reading defenses. He is responsible for reading his progressions. He is responsible for making sound decisions with the ball. Knowing when to throw it away etc. You blame a bunch on Kliff but not even close to all of what we have seen out of his inconsistency. His demeanor on the sidelines today with Hop is not the first time his demeanor has been crappy on the sideline either.

poor run game.. poor coach.. poor line.. poor receivers.. poor playcall.. poor defense.. where do the excuses end? poor team hotel, poor home locker room, poor team nutritionist...

poor QB play
Yes all of those things usually lead to poor QB play now you’re getting it! Fact is people keep saying at this point in his career like he has been taught by NFL coaches for years, which shocker he hasn’t been! You paid him now you need to give him a real freaking coach to see if he can be saved now that Kliff has had years of stupid put into him lol…

Whom gives this offense & the QB the best chance to succeed? Talent & coaching somewhat go hand in hand, but imo coaching is the most important factor in winning & losing consistently.

A) Kliff Klownsbury
B) Andy Reid
C) mike McCoy
D) Sean Payton
E) Kyle Shannahan
F) Mike Kruzek
G) Keith Rowan
H) Kellen Moore
I) Ken Dorsey
J) Jerry Sullivan

Look at the list closely & see if you recognize all of the names.

Coaching & schemes matter & this is one of the worst coached teams in the NFL!!! Poor schemes on offense & defense too.

Murray completed over 70% his passes today. Two TDs, 0 Ints. A pure passer rating of 101.5.

7.5 yards a rush on 8 attempts. He did have the big fumble after the drop by Anderson. The YPC was really low at 5.0.

More culpable than Murray for our offensive struggles is our O line.

Come on man. You slipped in the major problem at the end like it was a footnote.

5 YPA? It was 4.6 YPA half way through the 3rd and only got up to 5 because we were behind.

Did you watch the Chiefs Titans game and how pressured Mahomes was? He has a full strength O line and he was running around all over the place. Got sacked 4 times. Was under constant pressure but threw for 446 yards. 446!

Kliff and Kyler come out post game and it's all "They were playing 2 high and restricting us to underneath. Blah. Blah. Blah". Do people think teams don't play 2 high against Patrick Mahomes? Or Josh Allen?

Good QB's find a way.

Getting rid of Kyler would be a mistake. There’s way too much upside to trade him when the only NFL coach he’s worked with is Kliff.

It’s too hard to find starting caliber qb’s. The main reason Kliff needs to go is Kyler has peaked. You don’t get rid of a player with his athletic ability when he’s never had a legit NFL coach work with him and have him run a real NFL offense

There is no getting rid of him. The dead money is enormous until post 2026.

I just don't know how one can expect an incomplete coach to complete a QB. Kliff is not useless, but his sphere of tutelage is limited up to certain point. I think he made some beneficial contribution to what Mahomes is now during his tenure at Texas Tech, but it required someone like Andy Reed to make him a viable superstar in this league

Mahomes made himself a viable starter with a singular focus, hard work and dedication to his craft.

Andy Reid didn't make Mahomes. No coach has ever made a great QB. Great QB's makes themselves. If they don't have that drive, work ethic and dedication to their craft there is nothing a coach can do.

All a coach can do is add the last 5% by putting the QB in a position to succeed. We're nowhere near that.

To put it in terms Kyler would understand his loading bar froze at about 50%.

So when you are in his workout and film sessions with him, where do you think he's not spending enough time? Oh, you say you aren't in there with him so you have no idea what his work ethic is? Gotcha.

Just because someone has regressed doesn't mean they aren't working.

You don't have to be in the room with him to see the lack of film study. It's evident when watching him play.

If you went to the bathroom and came out with **** all down your legs I don't have to be in the bathroom with you to know something bad happened.

Well he had a bad Oline to begin w.. now 3 starters were out and Beacham regressed. So 3 backups and a regressing LT… no QB can make up for that.

Dude. Kyler was playing like ass when we had a full strength O line and he was getting sub 12% pressure rates.

Kyler gets better every year. Our winning record gets better every year. His only losing season is his rookie year. He goes 11-6 last year including a 7-0 start.

Then regresses massively in year 4 after getting paid and that's Kliff fault? Kyler improved every single year and he suddenly ***** the bed and now Kliff is an "unproven college coach"?

Jog on.

For those saying Murray hasn't had any NFL coaching there is this:
Cam Turner, a holdover from former coach Steve Wilks’ staff in 2018, was the Redbirds’ quarterbacks coach in 2021. The 34-year-old is to Kyler Murray what veteran assistant Tom Moore was to Carson Palmer when Bruce Arians was coaching the Cardinals. Turner will now be a co-passing-game coordinator with Spencer Whipple, the 33-year-old who did an outstanding job of calling the plays when Kingsbury missed the Cleveland Browns match up last October because of COVID-19 protocols.

I guess the play wrist band has gone by the wayside after just one week. Murray wasn't wearing it yesterday. This is really a microcosm of this team. Let's try something, nope that didn't work after one week so let's toss it, or yeah that worked so we don't need to use it anymore, problem fixed. They are simply grasping at straws with no real plan or direction on fixing things, it's the old throw crap against the wall and see what sticks.

The only good thing to come out of yesterdays game if they didn't burn TO's

I remember those days of you bitching and moaning about the poor NFL coaches when the team was 7-0. Oh wait...that's just a new excuse.

Which guys are those, that KNOW otherwise and are on the record as such?

Hey good morning stout. Heartbreaking loss yesterday eh? Especially since IMHO it really means the season is over in terms of winning anything. Now we're just playing out the string. Do our goals now just become try to get better? Oh boy...

Everyone is hurt and angry today and so I'm sure the different leaders of the team including our QB1 are going to be ripped to shreds.

But I really don't want to waste the next ten months (until the start of next season) arguing about if K1 is the answer or not. If you guys want to chuck him, great, just have an plan for replacing him (i.e. if we trade him, who are we going to trade for or draft to replace him).

Anyway, hope you're otherwise well today, and here's to a successful offseason whatever that may look like! :)
