He does not want to play knicked up and that becomes a problem when that is the expectation of every other player. It isn't. Some guys in the NFL finds ways to navigate minor injuries and still help their teams. Others do not. When the position is the most important one on the football field, that difference matters more. It also matters when you are the position that is supposed to tell others guys to suck it up and put the team first. Hard to do when you put yourself first. Only a small number of games in an NFL season and they all matter. Different than other sports.
Josh Allen had a TD/INT ratio of 1/2 with 1 of them being the game-losing INT in OT. He played a huge part of that game going into OT in the first place due to his poor play.
