If that's the case, the problems are Keim and the strength & condition coach, not Kliff nor Kyler, right?
Wrong. You can do a lot of things to hide a bad Oline with a mobile QB and offensive schemes.

And just fyi - Herbie the QB Prototype has looked less than average this year while missing his 2 All-Pro Olineman and #1 WR… but at least his team runs a pro style offense with an excellent run game to make up for it in the W column. Kylers missing 3 linemen (who weren’t All Pro to start w),his #1 WR for 6 games, his #2 for what will be at least 6 games…all while running a weak COLLEGE style offense with zero schemes to mask this. If Herbie is struggling with what he has what all do you expect ? Of course Kyler is going to regress - what else can he possibly do? Name me a QB that would succeed? Pls name that QB.

Hey good morning stout. Heartbreaking loss yesterday eh? Especially since IMHO it really means the season is over in terms of winning anything. Now we're just playing out the string. Do our goals now just become try to get better? Oh boy...

Everyone is hurt and angry today and so I'm sure the different leaders of the team including our QB1 are going to be ripped to shreds.

But I really don't want to waste the next ten months (until the start of next season) arguing about if K1 is the answer or not. If you guys want to chuck him, great, just have an plan for replacing him (i.e. if we trade him, who are we going to trade for or draft to replace him).

Anyway, hope you're otherwise well today, and here's to a successful offseason whatever that may look like! :)

There is no chucking him. There is no getting out of his contract until post 2026 as the dead money is crippling.

The only question is if he might bring us joy or pain.

Mahomes made himself a viable starter with a singular focus, hard work and dedication to his craft.

Andy Reid didn't make Mahomes. No coach has even made a great QB. The QB makes themselves. If they don't have that drive, work ethic and dedication to their craft there is nothing a coach can do.

All a coach can do is add the last 5% by putting the QB in a position to succeed. We're nowhere near that.

Kyler's progress bar froze at about 50%.
That is not entirely true. You can focus and work your arse off, but if you lack the proper mentor and teaching, all that effort can be wasted running really hard in a focused circle. Football is not like other professions of skill where you have an extended time to learn your craft, your body can only endure this physical activity for so long. Reed in my estimation had a major impact on Mahomes and accelerated that growth

Then what is the point of you endlessly eviscerating him? Is it therapeutic for you somehow?

I get that you're mad that he sucks (and that we suck), and everyone deserves a pound of flesh today, but let's vent and then move on man.

The guys who are the main problem is not Kyler but Keim and then Kingsbury. Especially Keim who has been here long enough to warrant an extended ****** fest in regards to his activity leading this franchise

What's the point of ignoring the truth and not eviscerating him? Will he get better if we stop?

We pile on everyone else when they play poorly. Is this something else Kyler should be exempt from doing to? Because it's getting to be a long list and I'm struggling to remember them all.

What’s this based on? Your not liking Kliff?

IMO it’s not fair to compare Kliff to the current version of one of the best coaches of his generation and a hall of Famer. That said, Reid was heavily criticized during his Philly tenure.

Mahomes reportedly was blowing people away in practices his rookie season. No doubt that Reid was uniquely positioned to maximize Mahomes’ talent, but Patrick Mahomes wouldn’t have been David Mills or something if he’d been drafted by Keim and Arians.

No man. Kyler is playing like crap. If Kyler isn't playing like crap nobody is talking about Keim and Kliff. This isn't a **** rolling down hill situation, it's rolling up hill.

Here's a prime example of the problem. In game 1 vs Seattle Kyler fumbled the ball carrying it like a loaf of bread. Yesterday he fumbled it again carrying it like a loaf of bread. It was almost an instant replay.

What kind of player keeps making the same mistake and doesn't correct it? It's not a difficult fix. After you do it the first time and normal player would think "I'll tuck it in future. No loss to me and it's safer". He doesn't even have to 2 hand it. Just one hand tuck it. Problem solved.

But even that is too much for Kyler. There is this immense arrogance about him that makes him believe the rules don't apply to him. He doesn't have to tuck the ball. He doesn't have to study like other QB's. He doesn't have to put the work in, he's got a natural gift to just see the field (up to 5 yards only). He doesn't have to accept responsibility. He's not the problem it's everything else.

The talk of the false starts and fumbles and other ugly crap is a distraction. We didn't lose because of them. We were within 3 in Q4 with all that crap. We lost because Kyler couldn't pass over 5 yards and he played terribly. That's it.

That one tiny thing (not tucking) is a shining example of the overall problem.

I can name a shitload that cost a lot less who wouldn’t guide the cardinals to much worse…
Lol okay and that’s on Kyler? How about you name some that would excel as much worse doesn’t solve the problem… Again you can’t say Herbert or even Mahomes as we saw Mahomes couldn’t do anything with similar Oline but better weapons vs Tampa in the SuperBowl

No, that is based on his acceleration of improvement as a pro because of someone like Reid. Mahomes accuracy improved once he became a pro. That strong arm became more accurate under Reid. Fair or not, I am not comparing Kliff to Reid or McNabb to Mahomes, I am talking about Mahomes and Reid, and if they become far superior as a tandem so be it and there then has to be a reason why. I do not care about practice and camp talk, because it seems every guy drafted gets put on a PR pedestal by most franchises at such an important position

Exactly. Reid, like any coach, added the last 5%.

You cannot be a great NFL quarterback if you rely on a head coach to "make" you. By definition to be a great NFL quarterback you have to contain that drive, desire and work ethic within yourself so that you are great no matter what.

I couldn't give two craps about Kliff but it's not defending him to say that replacing him would not change anything with Kyler in the slightest because Kyler (so far, and possibly never) simply does not contain those required qualities.

It's why I would like him to be benched. Because I think he needs a shot of humility.

Mahomes accuracy is exactly the same as it was his last year in college.

No, it's not. His window of accuracy became a lot more precise as a pro which is needed outside of the Big XII defenses where guys are running wide open in space to adjust for completions... hence, do not give me college stats to say otherwise

I can try to dig a swimming pool with a spoon. Just because the spoon is bedazzled and I over paid for it doesn’t mean my Walmart Oneida faux silver spoon wouldn’t be just as effective at doing a sh!tty job digging a swimming pool…

Lol cute… still absolutely did not answer the question.. all you said was get rid of Kyler for the same or lesser results but cheaper.

I didn’t say (get rid of kyler) that.

I said we would get the same results out of numerous cheaper quarterbacks.

Kliff sucking, Keim sucking and Kyler sucking are not mutually exclusive options.
