Edit: this take has been retracted.

From September:

I know. It's a punter. But punters are field flippers and the Lions pinned us multiple times and we sent either short clipped-winged ducks or line drives for returns.

This punter absolutely sucks out loud. I'd rather have Prater punt at this point. Call me crazy, but ffs.

Of all of the not great things that the Cardinals did in this game, this has to be the strangest thing to complain about.
There are multiple facets to the game. Complaining about punting doesn't forgive the horrific play calling and drops.

Imagine after this performance he thinks “Hey I wonder what the fans are thinking and saying about me” then logs on here and the first thread is “This punter absolutely sucks.”

Maybe we should be renaming threads as time goes on.
Change this one to "Our punter used to suck but doesn't any more".

Arizona Cardinals punter Blake Gillikin has been named the “NFC Special Teams Player of the Week” for his performance in last Sunday’s 29-9 victory over the Chicago Bears.

This is Gillikin’s first career selection as Special Teams Player of the Week and he becomes just the third punter in team history to be selected as Special Teams Player of the Week (Ben Graham-2009, Jeff Feagles-1995).

It is the second special teams award for the Cardinals this season after kicker Chad Ryland was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October.
