Drew Rosenhaus is the Lady Macbeth of sports agents. Blinded by egregious ambition and greed, he is turning out a bevy of Macbeths, the very victims of his deep-seeded and insidious avarice.

If you haven't watched and listened to Ron Wolfley's segment on the NFL Network, go there asap and see for yourself.

When asked about Anquan Boldin, Wolfley said there are TWO reasons why Boldin won't be going anywhere:

(1) The Cardinals are going to want full value for Q...they are not going to settle for less.

(2) "Who is going to entertain a trade for a Drew Rosenhaus WR who is 29 years old and wants a $10M a year contract?" Wolfley said.

"Ain't gonna happen," Wolfley concluded.

Just as Macbeth's and Lady Macbeth's hands were stained by the venerable King Duncan's blood, Boldin is stained with the stigma of being Rosenhaus' next WR puppet. Hence, "Out, Out Damned Spot."

There seems to be no washing of that spot now. The only way is if Boldin says, "Out Out Damned Rosenhaus."

Sadly, Boldin remains a hapless and now rather pathetic victim of this greed monger.

But...Boldin still has yet to "fret and strut" his entire "hour on the stage"...and there still is a ray of hope in Scotland. Neither Bill Bidwill or Larry Fitzgerald has been murdered...and if Q came to his senses he would be welcomed home with open arms as the war hero he is. Q could still be exonerated.

Thus he could avoid perhaps the greatest tragedy of all, coming to the conclusion that life is "a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Be an ecdysiast Q...shed your skin of this monster and all his bloody spots, before it's too late.

P.S. Drop the knife Dockett.

Rosenhaus is just doing his job, although i hate his tactics. He's supposed to make his clients happy, and it's obvious he will do anything to make that happen. He diminished Boldin's reputation, and is in the process of doing the same to Dockett. No team wants a player that whine's about the contract that THEY signed, and especially one's that whine about contracts with 2-3 years left. Rosenhaus is the best at what he does, mainly due to the fact that he doesn't care what the outside perception is, he tries to get every cent out of an organization for his clients. You can pretty much assume that when a player hires Rosenhaus, he cares more about money than anything else.

It is interesting, Zeno, that he plays warm and fuzzies with his other clients...and afterwards lauds the Cardinals for their due diligence.

But, with his WR divas, he is incorrigible.

its a business.

Rosenhaus was successful with TO with this strategy -- but as Somers noted in his blog today, Drew probably picked the wrong ownership to try to call out publicly.

I am willing to bet that if any of us could double our compensation by publicly ripping our employer, we would be on the phone with the local newspaper immediately.

I usually agree with you, fk, but Rosenhaus has ruined TO. Nothing could convince me otherwise, except the argument that TO ruined himself...but the same argument can be made about Macbeth. TO has been a bane to every organization he has been a part of.

LOL good analogy. Shakespeare to explain the Card's situation. Rosenhaus cannot stand that the Cards will not play ball with him in his little negotiating game, so he is going to try to create controversy. At this point, he has been relegated to Twittering on a weekly basis that he will get a trade for Q sooner than later. At this point, Rosenhaus is losing zip on his fastball of negotiating. Organizations, such as the Eagles, Bengals and Cards, have called his bluff in recent years and it has backfired in his face.

IMO, agents should be neither seen nor heard, like officials in the actual game. Most of them, (eg. Tom Condon) do a fine job without the dirty tactics that Drew uses. The last cutthroat agents in the league were the Poston brothers, and one of them received a two-year ban for league violations. They don't do much business anymore in the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised if Drew starts to lose clients in the next few years and becomes "just another agent" as he is tarnishing reputations while producing average results for his clients.

Part of his job is to make them unhappy, so they can get what he wants. He is a snake.

if you believe that i've got some great real estate in a very southern portion of florida i'd like to sell you.

you guys can pound on rosenhaus all you want, but it's clients that are ultimately responsible. i will continue to respond to each and every thread about this is similar way. you can say i'm a broken record, but there are more of you villifying rosenhaus daily than there are those of us trying to point out the reality of the situation.

and i'm really in no way a rosenhaus apologist. i don't like his tactics, but again, his tactics wouldn't exist if (a) they didn't bear fruit, and (b) no one hired him to use those self-same tactics.

i guess i'm just sick of all of you giving your favorite players a pass when they are really to blame. rosenhaus is a tool (pun intended), nothing more, nothing less.

oh, and btw, i'll bet a lot more of his clients are EXTREMELY happy right now than the paltry few that you believe to be upset. and i will almost guarantee you, those that are happy are happy with rosenhaus. those that are unhappy are unhappy with their teams, not their agent.

i think you just made the argument that rosenhaus just jumped on board the titanic rather than played the part of the iceberg.

"While the Cardinals insist they won't trade him, I feel several teams would give up a 1st round pick and more for my client Darnell Dockett."

Said Rosenhaus on his Twitter.
