UCLA got all but one vote for #1 in the conference, ASU got the 1 non UCLA vote.

Perhaps the best story of the day was when USC's Tim Floyd decided to share a story about Romeo Miller and recruiting. Seems after the Ohio State football game USC took 5 recruits out to dinner and then they hung out and played some pool. Miller was talking to FLoyd and asked him if he could host the players for some fun, which 2 do you really want he asked. So Floyd pointed out the 2 he wanted, and handed Miller $60 because NCAA rules allow the host to spend $30 per recruit on visits. Miller looked at Floyd and said "keep your money coach." Floyd said it was the first time in his career he had to ask a player "please don't buy them."

now on the surface he hasn't admitted to any violation, but come on you literally have NCAA investigators on campus looking at the OJ Mayo case and you tell a story like that at media day? he's either incredibly stupid, or brazen as hell.

ASU! ASU! Screw USC. A pox on UCLA.

ASU will be interesting this year, can they take the next step or not?

They may have the best player in the conference in Harden although Brockman from UW, Collison and Holiday from UCLA and possibly Derozan from USC will give him a run for his money. Not sure UA has enough around Budinger to have him be in the POY running.

ASU was picked 2nd and USC 3rd, if Stepheson is eligible I'd actually put USC ahead of ASU, in fact they might finish ahead of UCLA if they get Alex this year.
